Read the post about all the things a TP2 can do that an EVO can't first! Also, prepare to potentially double your monthly costs (i oughta know)

1. get a new C6 SD card, 8 gig around $20, 4@10
2. task29 (exe prior to flash)
3. flash Aug 25 cookie 23xxx
4. DON"T add any cabs or tweeks for a day.

My $1.00 is on about two weeks after HTC rolls out the "ROM" update.

well we all know that we'll be the last to get any update that's for sure, and i wouldn't count on this anytime soon, not to rub it in, but i'm glad that i don't use twitter on the phone.

No custom ROM yet...it isn't even rooted yet. She's a bit of a Technophobe and "just want[s] a phone that works". Her TP2 had been on its last legs for the last few weeks, so she was holding out for the Epic. I'll be sure to give your ROM a whirl, though!

Report back on battery life- it's extremely well for me today- 96% unplugged 5 hours ago. Received about 20 emails, several texts, went on facebook a bit and hopped online to download a few docs for work while I was on the go.

96%...it almost makes me think if there is something wrong with my battery readout

EDIT: And holy sh!t Dave, those rep points you have are goin outta control- I remember when you first started haha

Me too, Im going on 8 hours off the charger w/ average use & 93% battery but no internet & no phone calls yet. Moderate text messaging and a crap load of emails. Im loving the battery life out of the 8/22 23678 Cookie w/ Dinik Glass!!

well i took my phone off the charger this morning at 7am and here it is a little after 3pm and i'm at 89% and that's with like two short calls and sending three text messages and and receiving three, and i uninstalled the android stuff this morning, so overall not to bad i guess, i'm not a power user so that is working for me, it is what it is anyways you can only do so much about it.

Did you read my first answer to you? It could POSSIBLY be a bad SD Memory card. Remove the memory card and try to reflash without it. If that does not work, then you may have something wrong with your phone.

OK, this may be drifting a little off topic but it is good news for me.

As I've mentioned, I can get either great battery life or terrible battery life. At home I have terrible covrage and do not get data because I have an airave. The more I use my phone at home, the quicker my battery drains and the more my phone TRIES to access a data connection, the faster the battery drops.

So, today I read on sprintusers.com about sprints new airave called the Airvana Airave Access Point which DOES 3G data! After about 3 hours on the phone with Sprint CS/Retentions/support/account services...etc, I am getting a new airave that supports data! YAY!

So, back to battery... if that works then my battery life should improve considerably since I will have a continual data connection.

Also, it seems like my battery drop leveled out at 60% as I have been on my phone for hours today and its still kicking. Thats good.

Thanks man. Been here since 2007 but didn't really kick up my activity much until I got real active in teh TP1 RootRom discussion and then carried on over here when I got my TP2. Tried MR for a while but decided that I really like NRG. Now just trying to help out with all the things I've learned along the way.

I am using the 8-28 version of the 23127 dinik build. From call history I try to save a phone number to a new contact. The menu with the 3 options pulls up but when i tap ad to a new contact it doesn't go anywhere. I know that I can save a new contact through the action button on the home screen (which is a cool feature) but this doesn't help me save the ones that have called me or I called and then decided to save. Anyone else have this problem?
