RE Battery: I just hit a milestone - one that I have not passed on the TP2 up until now. I have now gone 48.5 hours on a SINGLE charge! And....I still have 40% left. I'm going to carry my spare battery with me to see how far I can go before I have to swap out.

Kiowa, when I first flashed 9/4 it seemed like my battery dropped VERY fast but after a couple days it did settle in and has been stellar ever since.

ON TP2:
Setup a quicklink, WiFi router, start, ensure "Sprint" is checked (yes it's safe..won't get charged)
Ck "remember my settings" (ok, yes whatever)

ON PC
enable ad-hoc
WEP, key 1234567890 (all his ROMs) never need to change it again.
Connect

On a side note: FINALLY GOT WIFI TETHER ON ANDOID WORKING!!!!!!!!! JUST NOW YAAAAHOOOOO (now i just have to figure out what the heck I just did & duplicate & document) :<)))))))))))

Update: I've tried to tether on both CHT and Dinik 24xxx to no avail. If I put the phone in flight mode, or shut off the phone, and start Internet sharing all connections show up fine, but wont connect of course. When I turn the phone back on the Internet sharing connections disappears.

Its not a real big problem,because I can run the wireless router. Its that I run a duel boot system on my laptop. I like running Ubuntu (Linux) but its wifi does not play well with adhoc systems. So for now I will just stick to windows and wifi and see what the latest release does (or go back to 8/28 ).

PS going to get an 8 gig card this weekend and try duel android, life is good

I have been doing a lot of Facebooking, texting and wifi tethering for the last couple days and its been great. Also taken several pictures, checked the weather many times and lots of texting.

I may have gotten lucky with a "good" phone in that everything just works great. Overclocking has been rock solid at 729 and I may bump it up a little when I get home to see how things work.

Like I said yesterday though I AM using a non-OEM battery that may be the reason things are so good.

For anyone interested, I got it as a "set" on amazon for under $30.00. I got two 1800mAh batteries and a "pocket" wall charger that the battery slips into. So, I always have one battery charged and one in the phone. I also have my OEM as a backup incase I need it. Up until now, I have been on the new 1800mAh battery. At the rate I've been going, I'm guessing that I'll be switching out sometime this afternoon.

as for the 24xxx base, it seems like it is "more" finger friendly than 23xxx. Momentum scrolling seems more fluid and like NRG said, it is "FAST" (besides the overclocking)

If you have the link where you purchased that battery set at throw the link to me sounds like something I'm interested in.

Yeah that's why I said I was going to let the rom settle for a couple of days to see if things settle down and I start getting better battery life, I understand that most likely I won't get exceptional life but just looking to make it through the day.

BURN THIS NEW ROM, I'll bet problem is gone!.. OK, I see.. Linux.. yea * think the orig def for tether was USB, kinda got skewed to cover usb & wifi.. My 2 cents on 8 gig: MUST BE A C6 (class 6) many sites & stores don't & won't tell you... if you can't find doco on a specific SD, then it isn't class 6. Doesn't seem like much diff, but a C6 is 3 times as fast as a C2, when you look at it like that it does matter.

Also, make sure you store all Windows side images (wallpapers, contact pics, etc..) anything on homescreen on your device, not the SD, it'll be much faster loading the homescreen images. I copy over my key contacts & wallpaper & run from main mem.

2 more cents: U don't need 8GB, a reformatted old 1 gig will work just fine for testing. The entire OS & some key apps are 1/2 an NRG ROM! expands to about the same maybe a tad more... giving over 750MB of app & cache space! I'm working on 3 different builds (Blazen, Reference, & XDAndroid) so, you'll want to try a few diff ones & reformat in between. Use the format tool I post a few pages back, click my name, statistics tab, view all posts.. GOOD LUCK, PM me if issues, don't want to overtake this ROM for Droid, however... it's OK to have a few posts, as it is still the boot ROM we use. Some Boot ROM's seem to need a few tricks others don't for example... some need to turn on wifi in win ROM 1st & then boot to Droid, XDAndroid is the one I have wifi tethering working on right now.. still haven't doco'd everything, need to flash this new ROM 1st! :>))
