OK...I'm digging deep here. I miss my notifaction icon for voicemail as they are missing now when I try to add quicklinks. Besides the notifacation icons the toggles catagory is missing also. I liked them too. Mabbe, if I knew what I was doing, I could add them but I don't know how. Otherwise it looks really good so far. Another one out of the park for NRG....not much of a slam, I know.

I'm currently running the Aug28.2010 Rom, but I've had the issue with any past rom I've tried, Jul -> Present.

Before I run the carrier provisioning, all the keys work, they are just mapped wrong. After I provision for Verizon, the Fn and Caps Lock keys stop working in most applications, basically everything but the Home screen, and I mean only the first tab. I took the advice of the FAQ and installed RhodiumKbdControl, However, I could not use this to get my Fn or Caps Lock keys to work again.

So I dug apart the energy_verizon.cab, I noticed that it sets the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME\KeyboardLayouFiles\07F F to eT9.Rhodium.VERIZON_WWE.kmap.txt. There are a few similarly named files throughout the system, but this one is MIA.

Temporarily I set the registry key in question to eT9.Rhodium.WWE.kmap.txt. This fixed my Fn and Caps Lock keys, but brought me back to the layout that didn't match my keys.

Attached is a picture of my keyboard, from a Verizon Touch Pro 2 purchased in the USA. Also attached is a layout file that matches the keyboard exactly, there is one exception, I added Fn+MailBox -> SMS. That is the only key combo not labeled on the keyboard.

I spent the better part of yesterday trying to figure this out, Hopefully it is helpful.

This is the TV cab I always install & it's working on the 28th ROM.

I am attaching the config text layout for my sprint keyboard, maybe you could use it as reference. Copy only the code corresponding to the 5 row and the adapt it to your preference. The 4th COLUMN is the one that affects the FN key press.
The registry value is correct, HKLM/Software/Tegic/eT9/IME/KeyboardLayoutFiles
find the 07FF key and change the value to the text file you placed in the windows directory.

Ask to some verizon TP2 owner to find and copy their text file from windows directory and place it here for you. Maybe you can sort out what are the differences with yours.

I just wanted to clarify, I did get my keyboard working with the map I posted. Thanks for the info anyway though.

The problem I was having is that the registry key was set to a map file that didn't exist after I ran the carrier provisioning. For now I'm just going to drop the map I wrote into my XDA_UC to avoid this problem in the future.

I posted it here hoping it would get included into the rom.

I'm aware that it is missing the single key. That key doesn't have to be remapped for it to function, but I guess it should be in the map for consistencies sake. The key in question is the favorite button, the star. I'm working on getting the value from the keyboard driver now for that row. I'll see if I can't figure out the kbd driver value for that key and repost the map.

Nope, I don't take credit for other peoples work, I couldn't find a map so I made my own. Based on the fact that they are virtually identical I'd say I was on the right track.

I noticed that the attachment you posted also does not have the favorite key listed, as mine doesn't either.

Just curious - I was reading through the front page but I couldn't tell - and excuse me if this winds up being a 6.5.x newb question - but I can't seem to find the voice command in 8/28 Energy Cookie 23127.

Also, I can't seem to connect back to my work wireless, which uses WPA Enterprise with a PEAP password entry. The Manila system keeps asking for a certificate, and the regular WinMo wireless settings won't connect...

But overall, I'm liking this ROM - hopefully this will work out, or I'll try out the 21911 version instead.

The roms look great! and I can't wait for my phone to run faster, had it for 2 weeks and in the last two days it started running much slower, even loading sense takes longer. I close programs and it is still slow, I guess typical windows.

You need to install voicecommend yourself. The cabs are found where this thread's attached files are. There are many posted already.

Great Aug28th Rom the only Complaint is the same with all NRG Roms, Bluetooth is just awful.

Found the MS Voicecommand file, now I have to see about the WiFi. If I can't get it to work, then that'll be the end of this ROM. I spend too much time on WiFi at work not to have it.
