Re: sprint insurance replacement
I am a Store Manager/Head Tech, and the past 4 6700 AE's i have done, they have sent 6700's as a replacement. The only time they will swap out for a 6800 is if they do not have a 6700 in stock or if you have multiple swaps with the same model. As for Asurion it pretty much goes the same way. I mean if its your initial claim and you tell them you have had so many issues with Sprint Stores replacements and you want the upgraded version they will send you the updated phone.

and as long as you have the Equipment Protection Plan, you will be ok. You will be told to transfer to the insurance company, but say "no...the insurance people are not helpful" and tell them you do not want another ppc-6700 cause of this volume problem and to do the proccess thru the Advance Exchange Program...the tech should get a hold of the insurance company for you and explain everything to them...then you are transfered to insurance company to finalize the process... hope it helps. |

Re: sprint insurance replacement
i wouldnt know what to say to help you.. i have had a horrifying experience with sprints advanced exchange program. I use the Moto Q and went through 4 phones in 3 weeks (from insurance they kept on replacing it) so i requested a new phone, and not a refurbished phone... they charged me $50 for it.. which i figured was not that bad of a deal hoping that the newer phones wouldnt have the same problem as the older phone. When the phone came in the mail, it was in the factory sealed box. I called sprint service to register the phone for use... and they told me that i couldnt because the DEC# on the phone was already registered to someone else (... i payed $50 for it to be a new phone)... needless to say.. 3 1/2 hours of arguing with customer service later.. they sent me a Moto Q9c for free and rebated me my $50... good luck with your transaction.. hope you dont have as much problems as i have had.

Re: sprint insurance replacement
i have had 4 6700's but none were exchanged through the advanced replacement thing. i have bought all of them my self either off craigslist or from a friends who had them. obviously i like the 6700 because i keep going back to it but after getting my hands on the 6800 i feel i will like it a lot better. i guess i will wait a month or so and hope they get 6800's

Re: sprint insurance replacement
I just got a 6700 back. I exchanged it because it kept having DSOD. But the new one has had three crashed in less than 24 hours. So I will probably go back tomorrow to request a replacement.

Re: sprint insurance replacement
dial *2, and when the automated system asks you what you need: say: advance Technical Support. then you are transfered to tech support.
When talking to tech support person, tell them to exchange your phone thru Advance Exchange Program, since talking to the insurance personnel has not been helpful. tell them what i told them about the volume problem and you should be fine. |

Re: sprint insurance replacement
yea I have my 6700 and wanted to upgrade too and I called today and the insurance said they were back ordered on moguls, so the only phone they had comparible to mine was a Touch. So i'm getting a touch shipped to me. Kudos lol.
