hmm... i flashed it last night and all seemed well, but when i plugged my phone to the wall apparently it had a sod. i only know because my alarm didn't go off. i reset this morning and after a min or so, it goes sod. guess it's a no go for me.

is there a certain way you're suppose to flash a radio?

Since you have determined that it is not related to the ROM you are running try this: First, remove your storage card and use the phone without it for a few days. No SOD, then theres your problem. After that, take out your SIM card - although this probably has nothing to do with it, I'm simply trying to cover the variables that can be dealt with - and see how things run.

You may also want to see of you GET more SOD's while on battery vs on the charging cord, possibly a poor battery.

That said, how old is your phone, what ROM are you currently running and under what circumstances do you most frequently get the SOD?

Finally, this is the NRG ROM thread and the topic of discussion here is NRG ROM. Since your post isn't really related to NRG, its not good etiquett to discuss OT things like that that are discussed elsewhere.

So, give my suggestions a try and post them in one of the larger SOD discussions and send me a link to it and I'll be glad to do my best to try to help you.

I had Task29'd prior to flashing the most recent NRGZ28 rom, and I still got it. Even tried flashing back to stock, carrier provisioning, soft/hard resets. Anyone have any clue what could be the problem?

This.^^^ It has nothing to do with liquid getting int he KB either. I have a brand new replacement TP2 I got on This passed Wed and I surfed this site for a good ROM and chose this one. Mine does the EXACT same thing. I'm using Sencity.

Oh Yeah, almost forgot, the Back button is the phone button and the phone button doesn't do much of anything.

Edit: Not ROM related at all. I guess I flashed without really using the Hardware KB at all. Wehn I flash back to 6.1 or 6.5 the issue is still there. Hmm, I guess I'll take it to Sprint today.

I have a keyboard related issue also. I just installed the newest "Energy" ROM and have a VZW TP2 and after provisioning the device for VZW I noticed that the hardware keyboard is typing what seems to be the layout for maybe a SPRINT phone? I opened the softkeyboard and verified that indeed it is not setup for the proper keyboard. How do I change this to be the VZW key layout like it should be? I use the hardware keyboard CONSTANTLY for work and personal messaging and need to have full normal functionality for the KB. Please help.

Click on the link in my sigline for cabs and fixes and download the verizon keyboard fix cab. That should do the trick.

Does any in here use Pageplus Carrier on their Touch Pro 2 with Energy Rom and Have notice Data Leak? The phone keep connect to or ping to this number 723487686 around the clock several times a day. each time cost 2 to 5 cents but after a few days they add up to DOLLARS...
I bought a $10 card and didn't make any call in 3 days but when i check my balance it fall from $10 to $8.64 due to this Data Leak. Any one knows how to stop this dial or ping without disabled the Data Connection? Because I need the Data but I don't need the phone silently dial or ping this number 723487686 which cost a lot of money for nothing. I tried different ROMs from PPCGeeks they didn't do it. Just Energy Rom does it. Any one know why and how to fix this?

There are several data connections that start and stop that I know of. First being the weather update. By default it will check the weather for sense every hour. Location services uses data as well. Are you using direct push to check your email? It uses a data connection too.

Hope that gives you a bit of insight.

EDIT: I did a google search on this and found some interesting info about it. You may want to do the same and in particular, google the phone number you posted. Seems like lots of people with page plus are having the same problem and it is NOT rom or phone related as it happens to blackberry's and androids as well. From what I gathered from a quick scan of the articles it may be that the phone is dialing into page plus and that is what is causing the data useage. Hmmm...

This was the first time I have attempted a locate on this phone since I switched to EnergyROM in November.

Luckily I found the phone, but i'm concerned now in the event I do REALLY lose the thing that I won't be able to find it or perform the remote data wipe (which is one of the main reasons I use MyPhone in the first place).

To be clear, the data backup still works fine as I was able to see all my recent text messages, notes and tasks, etc.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't know how you got the location service to work..i have never been able to get the trial offer of that locater service to work on any rom (including stock rom)

Interesting, the light does come on and I do hear the noise when I change the volume. Frustrating, I guess I'll take it to the sprint store to get it fixed. Sheesh, good thing I was able to add the insurance back on. Wish they'd give me an android phone instead.
