So, give my suggestions a try and post them in one of the larger SOD discussions and send me a link to it and I'll be glad to do my best to try to help you.

I think from the other posts I was able to determine it wasn't actually SOD, it's a hardware issue. Understand it isn't specifically a NRG rom issue but I thought it was since I've only used NRG roms for the last 2 years. I knew that someone in this group would know the answer! Thanks everyone for the help! Time to go to the sprint store...

actually yes i did experience a few SODs after changing to the to the 2.37 radio! i solved the issue though. 1 of the 2 things or both of the things below solved the issue.

1) i disabled wimospeed and reinstalled it a few times

2) i updated my prl and profile

i had the same issue, only had sod when charging. i really think number 2 is what solved the issue. but i know wimospeed does need set check you radio. so maybe it was both. i havent had an sod since.

also, did you ever check out the other "medium" volume cab that i made? i decreased the volume a little on that one. let me know.

ahhh, just as i suspected! sorry to hear that and i know how frustrating it is but im glad you were able to get insurance added. also, this is a hardware/warranty issue so dont let sprint con you into going through insurance like they tried to do me! so is it safe to say that this is a known common issue now? i wonder how many other people have this issue and think its a sod???


i have an issue with energyrom sprint provisioning cab, i usually dont install it but my sprint prl/profile update cab or ## codes dont work unless i do. ive noticed this twice. after installing sprint prov, within 24 hours later my data quits working and i get error code 67 and 68. i have to go into ##data# and "restore" default settings a few times to get data back working. i am 100% sure this only happens after i install sprint prov.

my gf is on gsm energy and never has this issue with the tmobile prov. so maybe the sprint cab needs updating?

EDIT: I did a google search on this and found some interesting info about it. You may want to do the same and in particular, google the phone number you posted. Seems like lots of people with page plus are having the same problem and it is NOT rom or phone related as it happens to blackberry's and androids as well. From what I gathered from a quick scan of the articles it may be that the phone is dialing into page plus and that is what is causing the data useage. Hmmm...

Hey Puff, I use 21916 and I always provision, never had a problem with data. I flash pretty much every new ROM.

Hi Everyone
I have disabled the location service on my phone for an obvious reason. I then add the City and State that i live in then it show on the Weather Tap but Does NOT show on the homescreen not matter what. The only way to get it show on homescreen is to enable location service which i don't want to. help please

hmm thats wierd, ive had the issue on 21916, 29005 and 29007. basically almost every rom since october when i first started using energyrom

I never used the provisioning, the ## codes never worked on NRG, so I use this:

i'll try those tips on the radio. i didn't know that the wimospeed used the radio. i'll try installing the radio with winmospeed disabled. should i update my prl & profile even if i know they are current? do they affect the radio (sorry for the newb question)? have you seen a difference in performance.

and i have definitely been using the medium volume cab. it's pretty close to perfect. a lil clipping at 100% but i don't put it there anyway. a much more useable low end. thank you.
