Thanks to everyone again who have tried helping me activesynce to my phone and computer but whatever I do it does not work. I have done hard resets, uninstalled the program and installed it. I even went to the USB to PC connection unchecked the box and nothing I am really clueless right now and dont know what else to do the only thing the phone will do is charge when connected. And it was fine but after the Nov 25th ROM flash cookie dinik 1.8 nothing but I did notice after it was done downloading it is when it all happend and I am sure its a easy fix that I am over looking. So PLEASE HELP ME>>>>>

Tethering and SIM card
Hello, it used to be that to tether with an Energy ROM we needed to have a SIM card in the phone.
I read some postings in the last few weeks thanking NRG for "fixing" the need for one; so I assumed that now it worked without a card. I tried it and I could not get it to work without a card.
Has anybody know if there is an actual "fix" or we still need the SIM card to tether the phone?

It works for me when I first flash the rom, but seems to stop working after a bit. Not sure if its registry settings or installing/running other apps that breaks it. But the "fix" is that there's no longer a selection box for choosing which data service to use. This used to be broken because you couldnt make a selection in that box without a sim card in the phone, so you couldnt even press the connect button. Now, the problem I get is that it just waits for data service to connect after I hit connect.

I am having a small issue with the US Cellular Provisioning. After I run Provisioning the internet does not work. I have to go in and change the user name and password. Also after running the provisioning it deletes the incoming and outgoing mail server for my Yahoo! account. Just wanted to bring this up. Anyone else having this issue?

anyone else notice that quickgps is not auto downloading? mine expired last night and didn't auto update so just curious if any others were having the same issue.

yes if you press the lock widget on the home screen it will lock the phone, but if your asking should it turn the screen off also, no it's never done that to my knowledge.

+1 This has been an ongoing problem for a few people on Energy. Unfortunately, no fix that I know of.
