Hey I'm due to get a TP2 from an insurance Claim i will be posting pretty soon tomorrow if its NIB or Refurbished! I might just PM you to avoid making this thread bigger.

I ran into this thread in October when it started. I was on my 2nd touch pro and had legitimate issues (heat, constantly resetting) in November, took it in to my local store and they ordered me a refurb touch pro. Obviously I was hoping for the touch pro2, but was happy to have a working phone again.

New Year’s eve my phone began to crawl and then literally died, screen was completely unresponsive. I was out of town and went to the nearest sprint store the next morning. After explaining what happened I got the “We can order you a replacement if it cannot be fixed” line. I was calm and polite the entire time because I REALLY just wanted my phone to be repaired so I would have a phone before traveling back home. To my surprise the rep came out with a NIB touch pro2 and said they were replacing my phone. I was in total shock because these types of things just don’t happen to me!

Anyway, I wanted to come back to this thread to share my experience. Good luck and try to remain patient!

It looks like because my keyboard is bad using phoneclaim.com wont work since it's considered a device "malfunction".

Will they deny it if I push it through anyways?

So are the people going through Asurian getting the tp2 replaced free of charge? Or through Asurian, one must take the 100 deduct? Online claim is offering the 7380, which is the TP2. Should I hop on it now?

It isn't free of charge unless you can get Sprint to offer you credit for the 100$ me though I need to get a lost claim anyways so doesn't bother me, better than paying 350+ for a touch pro 2

You have to go to a ASC store or Sprint Corporate store to get a tp2 free of charge. If you go through Asurian you have to pay $100. So if you want to spend the $100 YES! Hop on it!!! LOL

I am really considering that actually. I have already went to all the stores that are reasonably close to me with no luck they just want to give me BB, Palms, or Snaps. With gas prices theses days, it might save me stress and time. Time is money. Plus 100 bucks for a 300+ phone is still a good deal.

That and I am still out of contract so I can wait to see what else is coming later this year. Maybe that was a big reason why none of the stores would give me a tp2 as replacement. I was been out of contract and they either offered me sucky replacements or wanted me to upgrade.

They tried to give me the bb tour or the treo pro and i told them just fix my phone then then they offered me the tp2. Try telling them to fix it and see what happens.

Actually I did, they offered me those phones, I said those are either not comparable or will force me to change plans. He was like okay we will replace it with the same phone. I agreed, then he said we don't have any here we have to order it, we will call you. I said, so you can't fix it now? then left.

Other places offered me those other phones and some offered to buy back my phone for like $75 credit towards an upgrade. Many of those stores seems not to know what else to say when I tell them the phones they are offering are not comparable.

All in all, if I have to travel 20-40 minutes to each store to plea my case x 8-10 different stores to get one free of charge, I would rather pay 100. I only have so many hours of free time each day to do what I want / need.
