hey does anyone know which files controls the bubbles in htc messaging for the messaging tab? i have skinned my wm messaging and added glossy bubbles, now i want to make htc messaging bubbles glossy, but dont know which files control the htc messaging bubbles

I've had the same issue with the 21916 Build of the same ROM. Really want that one since it has Cookie 2.0 built in instead of installing it myself. I'm currently running the 21916 Energy Standard with it and although it's much smoother than stock, it's still being a little "RAM heavy".

ETA: Tried the "Christmas Edition" of the same build (21916 w/ CHT 2.0). The NBH and RUU files are there, but doesn't seem to run, either by USB connection to the PC or by flashing from the SD in Bootloader. I'm thinking files are missing from these ZIP files. This really sucks: I'd love to try an Energy ROM with CHT 2.0 built in.

Can I ask a basic question about XDA_UC... now that I am getting addicted to ROMs.

I understand that if you have files and other information in the folder, when you flash a new ROM, they will be installed.

I cannot find anywhere how you get say your mail settings out to the /storage card/XDA_UC folder. Is it via the "Settings Exporter" or some other software?

BTW I am having few problems with the "Christmas Build" of Energy.RHODCDMA.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.20, except:

1. The BT settings do not remain and have to be reinitialized with my headset almost each time I use it.

2. Also not it does not have Office Mobile 2010 on it nor Marketplace. I found that the 6.1 can for Marketplace does in fact work. If anyone wants the cab, ask.

A note of caution though. It will not save passwords in the xml files that it creates and sometimes it creates a few graphics characters in the file right at the beginning. You will need to check the files and you can insert the lines for passwords and delete the garbage characters at the same time. Other than that it works fine and comes with 9 preconfigured files and a user editable one also.

Your other choice would be Makisu which does a good job of creating xml files for your email, wifi and exchange settings. You will have to search for that one as I can't remember where I found it but I am sure it's on ppc somewhere.

Thanks. It looks fine. The e-mail and activesync are a pain. Hopefully it will retain the AS settings. Otherwise you need a new partnership.

I believe the other software on the phone made a copy of the registry settings.

The other programs I have are either the cabs for OCing or a a couple others installed through AS and I can reinstall them easily.

Update: I upgraded to the 29007 ROM and I just noticed movement of two quick links. I'm glad my Weather Toggle Switch is working again, though :/

Update 2: Okay... now all of my quick links are moving around and disappearing and such!

Update 3: I've decided to switch to Standard Rom and install CHT 185 separately to see if the problem remains... will update later...

Update 4: Did not have this problem with C0okie 1.8.5

Bluetooth Issue with 29005 (Regular Energy Dec. 13) - Unable to have my contacts show up on my car navigation screen. Had no problem with stock rom. Otherwise, bluetooth seems to be working fine.

• Stealth Tethering works just fine
• The Sense Tabs are what they are. As you noted, you can choose which to use, but that's about it.
• Carrier Provisioning should only be used if you are having issues with data on your carrier. As you are on Sprint, it should be just fine.
• If you try other ROM's, or newer versions of the ROM you are on, you will lose any personal settings you don't save and restore.
• Between Energy ROM's you should be able to use his Settings Exporter (with XDA_UC) and save/restore a lot. I also use PIM Backup and the Cookie Home Screen Settings backup (from the CHT Editor program). I get most of my settings this way. I also used Sashimi to capture my email settings and get them into an XML file.
• You should also consider using Task 29 between the loading of different ROM's (not needed for a newer version of the same ROM). It totally cleans out your ROM space and makes everything squeaky clean. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp2-d...highlight=task

If you see something that is asked often & has a solution, or needs one...

Could use everyones help. Now that we have a FAQ, perhaps we can make it usefull... it's lacking a LOT & needs work...

PLEASE, put something like FAQ REQUEST or ENERGY FAQ ADD??
as the first line in your post & I'll try to scan pages & add them.

Lot's of input & suggestions were solicited up front & little received, so let's just do it as we go... if you can't figure out why something isn't in there... PM me &/or put in a post with capitalized letters up front so I'll see them, be patient, it may take a few days to address your post or PM, (it's not a help desk )
Please reference post numbers of the problem & solution (or type in your own)

Not everything will make it in there for a variety of reasons but please make some suggestions.
