When you say stealth tethering works fine... not for some apparently. What ROM are you on? Do you teather & if so do you do anything to the ROM you DL first? I use wifi myself & haven't used USB "tethering" for many months.. so don't know all the issues. I did try it out again, seemed to work fine, however it was disconnected by "Remote" party...

will change my sig faq to goto cdma faq instead of gsm energy faq today :>))

About tethering teradog, I have one of the Dec 27th builds. I can't tell you which exact one at the moment. I haven't tried any tethering so far since I've been too worried about getting caught. So I don't know if it will actually work or not. I want to wifi tether. I made no changes besides unclocking and flashing the rom. Should I just move ahead and try it out then? What's Wifi monster and Wifi router? Differences?

Should "phone as modem" be on or off to tether? I don't know if I'm supposed to change this.

In general, I don't know what many of the programs do and what comes installed when to flash the rom. If you can add something like that to the FAQ that would be useful. This might be available already and apologize in advance if I missed it. Searching is challenging and I can rarely find answers.

i tether jus fine with no changes needed. DO NOT select phone as modem. if i recall correctly this is how your service provider can detect that you are tethering. select sprint (or whoever your provider is) as the connection and you should be fine. hope that helps.

ps i would like to know what wifi monster is for as well.

Thanks for input on tethering, what ROM (date & build)

On all the programs you don't know what they do... double click & play with them for a minute & you'll know. Wifi Monster is just a wifi manager allowing you to more easily see & select available wifi

ok. thanks for that clarification.

if i'm going to connect the laptop to my phone via usb to maintain the battery, what's the best way to tether? usb or wifi? it sounds like for wifi tethering i simply use "wifi router." do i use "internet sharing" for usb or something else?

i have flashed every energyrom/dinik rom since late october. i was on 6.5 up until dec 5th iirc, then i switched to 6.5.x. wifi router has always worked for me, i can say the same for my gf's gsm energyrom

Hello Everyone

I have a Sprint TP2 just flashed Energy.RHODCDMA.21916.Sense2.5.Cookie.Dec.27
Looks awesome, seems to be working fine.

My problem - I'm on the Boost Mobile network, got my phone ported - no problems
when I try to set up the connection settings, everything look correct,
when I try to connect I get the "Error Code 67" when I go back into the setting a new "Default address has been added, but not assigned to be the default"
these setting are as follows:
Server Name - Default
Gateway - 63.73.9.22
Port# 9201
Server Address - vxpix.com
Connect Via - Sprint
Limit - 100k
Wap Ver. Wap 1.2

This is a used TP2 it had MightyROM installed when I got it.
I did a "task29" before the Energy flash.
I used Arcsoft MMS 5.2.8.45 - Changed settings to http://mm.myboostmobile.com
This setting is still in the phone and marked as default, but I cannot connect to the internet - get "Error Code 67"

Anyone heard or seen this problem before, and know of a fix?
