did you check to make sure that you are either in global mode or try gsm and see if that helps, i remember not long ago someone else had about the same issues, i'll see if i can find that post for you.

is anyone running into the backlight problem where it dims for 10 seconds even after you change it to a different setting.

i first ran into this problem after i installed one of those battery saver cabs awhile back. didn't like the it and moved on

i deleted the power and backlight setting files in the xda_uc folder since it would just import the 10 second dim from the get go.

latley the 10 second dim just keeps coming back especially when running the oct 1.5 overclocking tool.

note this is all after many task 29's and flashes later.

yes that's a known issue with the Energy series rom and there is no fix in sight, all i can suggest is to hang up from a call from the phone itself.

I believe you answered your own questions with your signal dropping and when that happens the phones asking you would you like to set the phone to airplane mod and those other options to save battery power while you have no signal.

are you saying that you did go in to remove programs and take the battery saver cab off and then soft reset the phone? there is another program called Lumos that is for the backlight also that might work also, haven't heard of anyone using it in a while so i'm not really sure if it's compatible with these new roms but it's a cab file so if it doesn't work you can always uninstall it.

Actually that started happening to me about a week ago and never really figured out what the problem. I thought it had something to do with the END key as usually when you hold it down it brings up that "quick list" with those options. Streaming music seems to trigger it and it doesn't go away for about a day or so. Anyway hope someone can figure out a fix. Here is the thread I started...
