Can anyone tell me how to disable the speech bubble-style SMS threaded display?

Sounds like a driver issue..
Device manager doesn't show any errors on the driver?
Try loading the new ROM and then updating the driver for the TP2 under "Portable Devices" and let it search online to see if there is an updated driver available.

Yeah, I gave that one a try last night, thinking it might be the same thing. Completely deleted the device, let it install fresh, then went back and told it to update the driver and search online. It came back and told me I had the most recent driver.

What kills me is that I seem to be the only one having this problem, so I've got to believe I'm simply doing something wrong. But I just don't get why everything works up through the 4/23 ROM but not afterwards. Something's just odd, and I can't figure it out. But I'm new to the WinMo world, so I'm fishing for answers anywhere I can find 'em.

might b a windows 7 issue.maybe you can try on a windows xp machine??
u can also try trouble shooting active sync...it gives that option when it runs..
just trying to help...am no expert on rom flashing tho...

u can also try booting a rom from the storage card...
i know the link is there somehere...please search for that

Okay this is probably going to kill me. In the May 28 ROM, everytime I open up Opera my S2P closes. Any way to stop this? I want my music and web at the same time...

Opera seems to exit out on me while surfing. I don't know why this happens but it happens quite a lot.

2nd issue sounds like you are running out of memory...are you getting any low memory errors.....

Sashimi and this tool created by Ziggy are your friend.....use his tool to back up all the xml and regedits....then locate the ZBR file it creates and copy the contents of that file into the xml folder of Sashimi....works real easy...

The only problem I have with BT is I can't seem to get my Jawbone ICON headset to either redial or voice dial. It will take calls and end them, but that's it. Besides that, the GTX rom is perfect.

hey guys i have been using custom roms since i got my htc touch but today i flashed a gsm rom and not the cdma i needed my touch pro 2 turns on but does not get past the HTC boot screen is there a fix it the 28 gtx with the start on the bottom

lol you need to flash a cdma rom. hold power volume down and hit the reset bottom so you can enter boot mode and flas back to cdma.
