I'm running the 9/29 CHT 21680 and it had been by far the best ROM I've flashed. Solid and quick although not as good on battery than some of the previous builds. Going to give battery life a few more days before I can really say that though.

Just to make sure, you are doing a clean flash and not importing over any settings, right? Looks like you covered all the bases with the SD cards. Thanks for clarifying that.

David

thanks for the information , here Ive got a Q for you
have you teseted 21679 ? by NRG or any other moderator (chef) , my personal impression and benchmark shows that IT IS faster than the 21680 . I know when MS release a newwe release quickly means that they have caught a bug and they fixed it Quickly , but I ve been testing 21679 since it was first released , then I tested NRG's ROM and have not had any issues no matter what,
It is just my opinion and little Q to you thanks DAVE

Thanks! How do I go about doing that? I thought it's cooked in the rom? Do I have to manually remove a reg or file?

PS does anyone know how to turn off vibrate on the phone keypad?

I think he means just remove the mail alert widget. Do that by going to edit widgets and drag the mail alert widget to the trash can. (I could be wrong)

Turn off vibrate by going to sttings, sound and display and the ring type. There you can pick ring only.

To remove the mail widget, go to menu > edit home layout > main home > then touch and hold the mail widget and an option to remove pops up.

To turn off the vibrate on keypad:

Go to registry... HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting ... then go to KeyPadVibration and change it to 0 ... you can also change KeyPadVibrationLevel to 0 if you want

Just updated to the latest Energy rom, not the stable one (forgot the number), was wondering why he didn't put the "update prl/profile" buttons in his roms? ended up needing it and i had to flash back to the stock rom to get the button back then reflash back to the latest. Was there an easier way that i just didn't know about? I'm on Sprint if that helps.

Unless you really need to recover the space, this will not give you more RAM and I really doubt it makes anything faster.

Well, this begs the question, how big are your cemail files? I use IMAP/POP with two accounts set to download for 30 days. My cemail.vol is 1.7mb at the momemt. I may be switching to gmail soon so any input from gmail users?
I mean i used to keep my text messages up to a month saved on my TP2 and i'd have about 2000 in total between my inbox and sent items. once i cut this down my device is way faster, and my emails actually take up space for each message file vs. the displayed '0K' of space per text message...it seems like a good idea and should make sense. My cemail file is not as big as yours though

Was anyone else successful in moving the mail files to the SD card without losing their text messages? As i said before the procedure worked for me for emails, but all of my previous text messages dissapeared and when i received a new sms, it did not show up on my screen which i assume meant the sms portion was reading from my SD card but still stored on my main memory somewhere else...

Re: |RHODCMDA|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.- Energy -.¸¸.·´¯ * |Sep 29| 21916|21680 * Sense 2018

comparison of 21680 and 21679 in different speed parameters (including graphics) .

21679
Integer;480.1321;Moves/25 usec
Floating point;11.216;MWIPS
RAM access;664;Speed index
Draw bitmaps;1109;Speed index
Main storage (write);2494.52;KB/sec
Main storage (read);7202.81;KB/sec
Storage Card (write);4781.32;KB/sec
Storage Card (read);5885.06;KB/sec
File List;2927;Items/s
FL: Storage Card;3427;Items/s
loading;3852;ms

21680

Integer;466.6308;Moves/25 usec
Floating point;10.885;MWIPS
RAM access;671;Speed index
Draw bitmaps;1113;Speed index
Main storage (write);2641.44;KB/sec
Main storage (read);6508.47;KB/sec
Storage Card (write);4504.40;KB/sec
Storage Card (read);6934.54;KB/sec
File List;1816;Items/s
FL: Storage Card;3153;Items/sec
loading;4394;ms

note : test conducted on a pp of 16 which gave me the highest results for both ROMs .

conclusion :both ROM versions are fast but 21679 is a little bit faster ,which obviously is (I noticed that even before running the benchmark test).
I am going to stay with it until NRGZ releases something beat it .

David
I did get it to work.

I had to uninstall it and go back to the Facebook v1.007 and install it on my SD card. Even if I uninstall the 1.2 version and then install the v1.007 over top of it it wouldn't work. I also deleted the 3 Facebook files that were in the root of my phones directory.

The only problem is it put the old icon back on the phone. Does anyone have just the DINIK - Anastasia "Facebook" icon?
