Re: |RHODCMDA|.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.- Energy -.¸¸.·´¯ * |Sep 18| 21916|23138 * Sense 2018

A couple more questions, while I try to figure out how these things work.
Seems that text messages are loaded in the RAM and kept there, so if you clean it you get more available RAM. Is it the case for e-mails too? or emails don't take up RAM? From my crude tests it seems like they do?
Is there a program that can clear all the text messages older than a set amount of days like there is for email?
If I choose the same wallpaper for all screens, would I save RAM or run faster? I set animations to the minimum.
Thank you!!!

Is there a way to change the background of the new quick menu?

EDIT: Found it, sorry!

For mail, it's stored in a file called "cemail.vol" which is normally in your main memory. You can move it to your storage card with a reg edit... and then after a flash all you need to do is rerun the reg edit and your mail is restored -- although after I do this I have to go in and edit my mail settings again for user/pass and servers... but that's a quick task.

Has NRG quit making GTX roms for good? or just skipped it in this latest release?
Also, I am not sure, besides gaining RAM, what is won or lost by changing the page pool size? is it like a cache?

Anyone else's screen lock up for 10 seconds when hitting the start menu icon top left on 21xxx after enabling quick lanuch?

Also, once it finally unlocks, it still does nothing and the start menu doesn't open. How do you get the start menu icon to work?

"SOD/Freezup? This tip is provided by lbcary: Disable arkswitch by removing the arkswitch shortcut from your startup files and program files. Since arkswitch is cooked into the ROM, it can not be "uninstalled" but you can prevent it from starting.
I had a total of 8 SOD's after flashing 09/08 and after following lbcary's advice, the SOD's went away."

Thanks. Would have never even known to google anything remotely close to that. Never even heard of arkswitch until just now

Hi, I'm using Energy.RHODCDMA.23138.Sense2.5.Cookie.DinikGlass.S ep.18 and I could of sworn when I hit the windows button at the bottom, qmenu came up. Now, after a soft reset, it doesn't! Is it just me, or is this really an option? Otherwise, loving the extra ram. Default PP and I boot with about 85 megs free!
