Like some others, i am having issues answering the phone via taichi and wanted to see if there was a way to get back to the RD dialer, which was working well with the 8/1 version.

Thanks

Thought it was maybe me. When you slide your finger to answer, it just never answers? This happens to me a lot(however, I make call more so then get them) but a work around I've found is to just hold the answer hard key. Doesn't work all the time but it does work.

...The greatest effect from the ROM are services and process that make the phone wake up when we don't intend the phone to be doing anything but quietly waiting for a call or the next message. If you suspect a ROM power drain issue, give some context to the chef. Is the phone waking up when it shouldn't? Can a bump of the button cause the backlight to turn on? When a email or text comes in does the phone wake up and the backlight turn on? Does the execution of a internet push page make the phone turn on? Are you running S2U2 and do you have wake up on message turned on the the S2U2 settings, this will cause battery drain because the backlight turns on. BTW Lumos Wizard helps this because if the phone wakes up in your pocket or belt case the light sensor will be blocked. Lumos will assume you are in a dark room and set the backlight to minimum levels until the light changes.

Paster,

we are having the same issue. It will not answer when you slide it and goes to VM. The RD works great and is very fast. Hoping the RD will be included int he 8/6 build. How do you like the latest build, after i missed my first call I went back to the RD build.

Thanks for the workaround suggestion.

Try before back RD

HKLM\Software\oem\TFLOSettings = 128

HKLM\System\Storagemanager\Fatfs Change Key Cachesize to 32768

From the thread over at xda about 2.1:
Q: Will this work with the "regular" HTC Dialer (i.e. the Slide-to-Answer dialer) that comes with the Diamond/Raphael?
A: No. You NEED the Tachi/Topaz/Rhodium Dialer in order to make phone calls from the People Tab in this Manila.

Three faces, thanks for the FAQ re 2.1. Have you had any answering issues and if so, other the edits listed, is there anything else you are doing you can share to help this?
