Yeah. Compare the two. The issue, what I really want you to see or confirm is that when the data is on, i.e. you see the data icon arrows in the taskbar but no data is being used the current draw is the same as it is with the data turned off. What increases the battery usage is the re-establishing of the data connection when it auto disconnects.

Edit: Currently My data stays connected unless I manually turn it off but the arrows indicating data transfer ONLY come on when there is actually data being transferred. What does your indicate?

As for your off-topic questions... for a good screen capture program, I'd start by browsing freewarepocketpc.net. They have a lot of free programs that will totally defeat your purpose of minimizing running software. lol

Do a search on that site for "screen capture" and you'll get several hits. I'd love to see your mods to the theme- I'm a big fan of customizing the look and feel of the device myself.

And to add a pic to your profile- click on "User CP" at the top of the window. The "CP" stands for "Control Panel"... not the illegal CP if you visit 4chan often. On the left under "settings and options" is "edit avatar"... you can figure it out from there.

Well I figured that because the arrows are solid as if I was browsing the web I figured that the data was running when I actually was not doing anything of the sort. I would check in my notifications and I noticed that the arrows were solid and there was a timer that just kept running and I was curious to know why this was. So I just tried to disable it. I wasnt sure if it helped or hurt. I just tried everything possible to try and cut down on the data usage, but I will turn the settings back tonight and check and see if my battery life changes any tomorrow. I will post back with my results.

Notes so far: Well sashimi is great!

The new interface looks good, except for the drop boxes where the arrow indicator seems to small.

This ROM appears to be faster than previous releases.

One thing... did you do something to the GPS configuration?? Now I dont need to prime it to make it work with TomTom (I had to use HTC GPS Tool first to open the port and then start TomTom). This is good... very good.

EDIT: Ooh rounded edges on home screen... very smooth

How are the fonts while looking at SMS previews and File Explorer?
Have tested a few and most are hard to read in certain areas.
Found some Manila only fonts that do better because they do not change the Wimno elements.

cool... did you re-arrange your start menu? I tried moving mine around, but then all the cool icons disappeared. Haven't gotten around to figuring out how to fix that yet.

I've got a weird new one in 9/20, not seen this in any previous NRG flashes:

When in mail / sms I go to Tools, options to add an account or adjust account settings are greyed out and inaccessible.

I use Sashimi to insert reg edits to configure my mail account, worked flawlessly in the past, and I don't know if it's got anything to do with the current situation.

Did a search but haven't found a fix for this yet.

It means one of your accounts is trying to connect/disconnect and the program will not allow settings changes while it's going on. The initial set up seems slow with this build but I was setting up 5 accounts. Let it settle down, run through all of your accounts Send/Receive's and you should be fine.
If you need to, put your phone into Airplane mode or disconnect Data and you should be able to access your settings.
