Thanks but after the stock rom was downloaded on my computer it wouldn't open, "To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs on your computer." The options given didn't seemed to work.

just use the shipped stock rom here.
it will flash your phone to the stock rom and radio, and it's a simple exe file that you just have to open
then relock it

Just for sh*** and giggles, try installing 9.7b1 and see if the problem returns.

I did try Opera 9.7b1 and it was full of problems, that's why I switched to the newer 9.5 version. It seems Opera is more trouble than its worth and I'm going to stick to IE and Skyfire only. With those two, you really don't need Opera anymore.
