Rumor has it that MS restored that functionality in 23041. I will be flashing shortly and will confirm.

wrong , all this end on mid of 2010 when windows phone 7 or CE 7 goes final

OEM will release windows phone 6.5 base ROM from older build or older ui code

all this UI changes is part of windows phone 7 delopment.

Ah ok thanks much for taking the time to help. It didn't boot. I just looked at the RUU file it made and I realized it wouldn't work (it was like 80kb) lol.

So you think using, say, Ervius's kitchen would be better? (I already do use PPCK but wanted to try others out) My main hold up with that is I don't know how to get the OS.nb file. Maybe someone could tell me how to get that file? I can't seem to find any info on where to get it, no matter where I search. I assume I need one that is for the Vogue and for the 23037 build?

thanks i cooked 23041 already after using some resized DPI_96
my only problem now is owner info & SIP input settings

can you please guide me to how to redirect the "settings--personal" to show owner information and SIP input again before cooking..23041 shows only buttons & phone settings

That kitchen you currently have HAS the os.nb.payload file. You can use XIPporterEx to inject a newer XIP into it before cooking.

I was told not to use that to inject and that it was better to use implantXIP.exe instead. FormerPalmOS was the person that advised me to use ImplantXIP.

I am working out some 96DPI issues since we don't have a source, and I have no REAL conversion tools, only Da_G does.

There were some significant changes in the UI (Mainly theming, but I found some others). I've resized a bunch of png's and edited some tsk files. Also, MS moved some of the resource dll's that used to be in the Common files over to the DPI files. I am merging the changes that I can find (and make) into the 23037 96DPI files in hopes of some good bastardized 96DPI files. So it may be a bit before I post anything.

You could use that too (that's what my kitchen uses). I think you just need to use the following:

implantxip.exe -xip xip.bin -payload OS.nb.payload -imgstart 0 -ULDR -pp %pp% -NOCERT

Where %pp%=pagepool size (probably use 8 or 10 here)
