Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Can someone please give me some guidance? I am using the Vogue 6.5 Kitchen from the first post of this thread. I then removed all the SYS files and replaced them with the new 23037 ones from http://ppcgeeks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77176. I then ran BuildOS which completed and I had the ROM. However, when I flash it i have 21139 on my phone and a bunch of OEM files installed that I did not select in BuildOS.
Forgive my ignorance, but I have been reading and trying to build a 6.5 23037 ROM for the Vogue for the last week (spending an hour or two a day and trying to us PPCK and this kitchen and Ervius Kitchen) and have had 0 luck. Please tell me what I am doing wrong, missing, or need to change. Quote:

I downloaded the Vogue kitchen from the first post of this thread. I extracted the files to a folder. I deleted everything in the SYS folder and then placed Ali3n's 23037 files in the SYS folder. I then ran the BuildOS and unselected everything listed (I want a clean ROM to test from). I then clicked Build and it worked but the RUU I get is no good.

Have you considered ppckitchen, it works for me.It just takes a little time to process the Rom, but the results are perfect.

UPDATE: Looks like your going to need to manually insert the XIP into the payload in order for the version to show properly. Frankly, I am amazed it booted at all for you

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
jjb is the 23405 an unofficial build number or is it something leaked out like 23037?
Also, what's with the SMS/MMS (mail) dragging and slowing down the phone? I noticed this yesterday when I took my Touch Pro out to see the world....hehe Oh, and why do I get a scroll bar on the dialer when there is nothing to scroll about... I am guessing the fatter bottom curtain/softkeys... Can that be addressed via registry edition? Last edited by m4f1050; 09-01-2009 at 10:10 AM. |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
They are all leaked out. As far as the number goes, that just has to do with the branch of code that the leak was from.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I see. It works great for me, besides the SMS/MMS dragging and the scroll bars on the dialer everything works perfect. I got the dialer to work by not installing one, but would like to have a white skin for it. I even got the volume on my InCalls to work by not installing the volume control and for system volume I installed SetVolume 0.6.1 (will provide link if you don't know how to search... LOL)
