i work at a sprint repair store and ive been getting people coming in with 6900 from asurion but i did get one that got a diamond

i rin a Sprint ASC and it really depends on when you order your phone. and luck of the draw. if they are low on stock for the Touch they will send a diamond. so it really depenedds on how many ppl have ordered a touch replacement device the day you do yours.

yea it just depends on when you place your claim. i did mine on line and got a touch diamond. before you confirm they tell you what type of device they will replace with if it was 6900 then dont confirm it. if you see 6950 then you know its a diamond. now my friend he called the asurion number and they said they were gonna send a diamond but then hecomplained about not having a micro sd card and that it was really important for him to have that for his job for bussiness meeting presentations and they offered him the touch pro.

i filed the claim online with Asurion. and i got the diamond. had to pay the $100 deductible but i think overall the diamond is worth it. and i just added the insurance to my touch and 3 weeks later i lost it at work and then found it 2 days later. i got the diamond in the mail about a day later and it was for sure a refurbished one. it had nicks on the corners so i called them and they sent another one out the next day. still a refurb but it is in pretty much new condition. when i sent the first one back you dont send the battery with is so i have an extra battery now too.

I dont know if other carriers are the same as Alltel or not but what I did after I dropped my Vogue I called in a claim to assurian and they asked me if I wanted to do an exchange by mail or pick up at a local retail store.
I said pick up and they filed the claim and told me to just take my claim number to any retail store to exchange it.
Sooo... after calling 3 different stores I finally found one that was outta Vogues so I went there and they replaced it with the compareable model (The Diamond).

And I just found this out today, since they give you a brand new Diamond in the box (not a refurb) you get another full year warranty which is good cause the little magnetic strip that holds my stylus in fell out so I gotta free replacment coming in the mail.

Like I said I know this is how Alltel/Verizon works but not sure bout other carriers but I assume probably the same.
