Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

And I just found this out today, since they give you a brand new Diamond in the box (not a refurb) you get another full year warranty which is good cause the little magnetic strip that holds my stylus in fell out so I gotta free replacment coming in the mail.

Like I said I know this is how Alltel/Verizon works but not sure bout other carriers but I assume probably the same.

Have you flashed it yet?
if not, please dump the rom and post it in the open gl thread.
We need a stock diamond rom to be able to get touchflo 3D,
yes, 3d,
onto our vogues.

So if anyone gets a diamond, with the stock rom,
please please please post at the open gl thread before flashing it!

I called alltel and confirmed the version number and I just flashed to it and its Identical to the one that came on the phone.

As far as I know they're waiting on the stock rom to get the open gl dll out of it to get everything to work!

I just read a post in the Vogue forum about the open GL Driver and Whodaman was lookin for the stock Verizon ROM.
I havent seen the Verizon ROM anywhere though.

Yeah, I forgot about that part.
I was literally banging myself upside the head for that one. haha.
In theory it's the same company....It's worth looking into the rom just to see,
unless it's a definite no with alltel roms.

What are the common problems with the touch that everyone is getting theirs replaced for? I've had bad gps chip, the oil spill look on the screen, a screen that refused to align or whatever it is, and two where the power/data port failed.

I am not sure what everyone is talking about when you get to see your upgrade..I went to phoneclaim and filled out everything and I have yet to see what my offer is.
