I dont know if other carriers are the same as Alltel or not but what I did after I dropped my Vogue I called in a claim to assurian and they asked me if I wanted to do an exchange by mail or pick up at a local retail store.
I said pick up and they filed the claim and told me to just take my claim number to any retail store to exchange it.
Sooo... after calling 3 different stores I finally found one that was outta Vogues so I went there and they replaced it with the compareable model (The Diamond).

And I just found this out today, since they give you a brand new Diamond in the box (not a refurb) you get another full year warranty which is good cause the little magnetic strip that holds my stylus in fell out so I gotta free replacment coming in the mail.

Like I said I know this is how Alltel/Verizon works but not sure bout other carriers but I assume probably the same.
