Sprints matches Big reds TP2 price! (May not work) - Page 50

So I called my local Sprint store today as I was curious when they would be getting the TP2 in stock. The gentleman told me that the HTC Rep had just left the store and they were just discussing this and the release of the HTC Hero on the 11th. Anyhow, when I asked about the TP2 he told me that they were planning on dropping the price and getting in stores soon. He was not sure when, but voluntarily offered the info of the price drop. More confirmation that its coming (or here).

On another note, I have tried many, many times to get this phone for $199 but to no avail. I suppose I will try again tomorrow.

Well, for me it wasn't a rumor. I have my $150 credit (and so does my roommate) plus I utilized Sprint's Premier Customer Program and will get a $5 credit for the next 3 months. Not to mention that I have a friend converting from VZW to Sprint and I'll be getting $50 for that from Sprint's Rewards Program. I would post an edited snap shot of my account but I got lazy. The ironic part about all this is I'm a VZW employee. LMFAO!!!

I too got the email this morning from E-Care. The Rep confirmed that as of October 1st they were lowering the price to 199.99 after rebate.. While that maybe incorrect, I don't care, I got my credits.

I bought the phone for 449.99 + tax on Sept. 15. Of course I sent my rebate form in already. When I purchased the handset, I called ecare and begged for a credit since I am a long time customer, and they gave me a 75.00 credit right then and there with no problems.

I ordered the phone, all is well.

I found this thread a week ago. I initially did a chat, and they absolutely refused to credit an additional 75.00 .. That was on 9-30.

Last night, I sent an email through their site.. I even sent them a link to their own hosted forum about the TP2, and with the posts on their site/forum where customers were reporting getting service credits.

They emailed me back overnight and and confirmed the 199.99 price match, and credited me an additional 75.00 to make all my service credits of 150.00 for the match.

I am on everything data plus with 4 lines, Ins. on all lines, and I got a 27% discount because of this site and a thread of getting corporate discounts. That worked for me, and I went from my 15% to 27%. I am also a contract inspector on behalf of a servicer that does mortgage inspections for Citi Mortgage, so in a round about way, I am probably correct in getting the discount anyways.

I just wanted to report that it only took two times for me, no phone calls, and about 20 total minutes trouble.

I e-mailed e-care today and they agreed to sell me the phone for $199. They accomplished that by using my $150 renewal discount, $100 MIR and they applied a $150 credit to my bill. They then sent me to telesales and I paid the $449 price. Finally got it for $199 after several unsuccessful calls and a chat session. An e-mail to e-care did it.

I had no problem last weekend having them agreee to giving me the $150 credit to my account. The problem I had was actually getting it credited on my bill even after getting the approvel and it listed on my account to do so. It took me 6 calls and lots of time to finally see it credited yesterday. Plus the 2 usually people who always claim they will call you back and never do.

I almost feel like dealing with Sprint is the most stressful thing in my life and I probabaly shaves years off of my life evertime I need to speak with them.

I so wish there was another carrier that can compete with them when it comes to pricing and internet as I would love nothing more then to jump ship and remove this stress from my life!

Received an e mail from ecare. They have credited my account $300. I just checked it online and it's there. Makes this phone even sweeter!

As on October 01 2009 we do have applied the discount credit to match
the price with Verizon for HTC TOUCH PRO 2. However now it is applicable
for the corporate account only and for the individual liable account it
is under consideration.

We have already forwarded the concern (whether to price match for the
individual account) to appropriate department and we are excepting a
confirmation within 72 hours.

What exactly is the "appropriate department"? And what are you guys saying to them to get them to credit your account?

Id really rather return the phone and rebuy it since its technically not my acct. but I never mentioned that to them because I realize beggars cant be choosers.
