im on with retentions now. was shot down twice on echat. retentions authorized it. charging my account 449.99 giving me a 150 dollar credit plus 100mir = 199 woot!

edit: just kidding, they put me on hold to order the phne, then a "manager" answered denied the adjustment since i have a sero plan. on a good note, he waived the etf on my account. looks like i may be switching to verizon sheeeesh

Retentions is the department that handles customers that want to discontinue service. They normally have the most power to make changes/give you discounts/adjust prices. They are normally really nice, but you have to sound like you want to switch to another carrier. Don't be blunt about it.

Call *2, press the option to make changes to your account, and I believe 5 is the button to get retentions (it should say 'Disconnect Service')

I called in to activate my phone and transfer my line from TMobile, and I asked her if she dealt with billing info she said of course. So I asked her about the price match, she told me a huge story about the Blackberry Tour blah blah its cheaper then Vz blah blah, then I said what does that have to do with my Pro2?? I'm trying to get the price match for my Pro2 and not the Tour I told her.

She said let me check Vz website....then she came back after being on hold for 5 minutes and then she said I believe we can match Vz’s price.

She submitted the credit form to her supervisor and HE APPROVED IT!

Awesome shiet!
