Sprint Touch Pro 2 push mail doesn't work?

I have my hotmail properly setup on my Sprint TP2, set to "as item arrives"
but it doesn't seem to work.
sometime it will push the mail in a couple minutes
but sometimes nothing happened in more than a hour. I can see I got email from my live messenger on my desktop. just nothing on my phone
anyone has the same issue? any way to fix this?

I have this same issue. One thing different for me is I also have an exchange account set up so I push exchange and msn.
One thing to try (that I have been told) is set your mail to check every hour, wait a few hours and then set it back to "as Items arrive".

For the record this has not worked for me, but I have heard it worked for others.
Also my hotmail account is an msn account I pay 20 dollars a year for, I know that used to make a difference back in the pop mail days.

Most people say "hotmail push works" but there are the few of us that it is unreliable at best.

I will try that. My hotmail is a free account, it worked flawlessly on my old HTC Touch. I don't know what's wrong with TP2

My exchange push always works. Hotmail is touch & go.

there are reports that people with very old hotmail account, push doesn't work correctly, either very delay if at all.

but if you sign up for a new account, you get nearly instant push... I have the same problem with my old hotmail account

My hotmail is kinda old, over 10years. but it worked perfectly on my old HTC Touch, just not working well on TP2.
I don't think it is hotmail problem, more like windows live problem on the phone. Do you know where I can find the latest ver of windows live that I can install to my phone?

Most of the people I've seen with issues are using the built-in Wireless instead of their data connection... not sure if that applies to you. You might try going to Settings > All Settings > Connections tab > Wi-Fi > Wireless Networks > Network Adapters tab, and setting the network card connects to "The Internet" instead of Work. Don't know if that will help or not.

That's not my case, I have wifi turned off.

I think I solved the problem. I download the windows live from here http://mobile.microsoft.com/live/en-...e/default.mspx

install it, reboot my phone, add hotmail account again, now it push mail instantly.
