I agree, caution first is warranted on the net. The link does go to sprint.com though. I did sign up for it, and if/when I get an email announcement, I will post it here. The original article from Engadget where I got the link: http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/0...ptember-relea/ |

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread
Not sure you guys are aware, but Bluefish is legit. It's hard to state exactly what the company does, but it looks like they assist cellular companies in advertising and promotion, among other things.

Re: Diamond Release Speculation Thread
HELL, why not???
First post PPC'rs and hello to you all. Just want to say that I LOVE the site and all the info/tips and everything I've learned about the Mogul I have gotten from here. With that out the way..... I'm not an avocate but I DO WORK for a service/repair Sprint Corporate store. Just so happens i'm the guy who does the store plan-o-gram resets, yeah anyone can hang a sign, but my store manager receives the signage and wont let anyone else check it in or set it up but me and its been this way for the past year. And if any of you vistied a corporate store yesterday, (store resets were done), you should have seen it changed since the time before that. Anyways, I do have all the sales and ad material for the Diamond, but there were no instruction for store layout and/or placement. My store lead is the advocate for the Diamond and I asked him what was the deal? He told me that the training for them was delayed and he has not received his phone yet and neither has my store. With it being Labor Day we will NOT receive a shipment today, so even with an Express AM delivery, we would not have the Diamond for opening release. We have never not had a phone in stock before the releaese date, especially since we are a service/repair store. Prime example: When I did the reset for the Instinct, I had all materials including the layout and release date info. So I'm willing to place all my chips on the Diamond will NOT release tomorrow. As I get more info i'll post back here, as i'll be posting more since I feel a sense of duty with me having a "sicked out" = sick and tricked (my store lingo) Mogul that I learned everything about for the site F.Y.I. I've been approved by my manager to be the Touch Pro advocate, as soon as I get info i'll let ya'll know, lata. |
| This post has been thanked 2 times. |

Thanks for clarifying alot. I thought there is not going to be a touch pro advocate because the diamond and pro are practically identicle cept the keyboard and sd slot.. |

Nothing new there. Someone posted those pics on this forum, so engadget probably stole them and put them up on the website...LOL

I'm kind of a techie person, so naturally if I see gadgets and such my instinct is to 'figure them out,' what they can do, what their limitations are etc. You'd think people who apply for these jobs kinda know they are going to be selling technology and thus should understand what they are selling. Granted, devices flow rather quickly in and out and employee turnover rate can be quite high especially in retail. However, its good to see Sprint getting employees to learn them through actual real life experience and selling accordingly. I'm sick and tired of knowing more about devices, gadgets, computers, and other tech stuff than sales associates just from 5 minutes of looking on the internet. |
