I don't think its doomed. Its been out for only couple months and they already have 5,000 apps. Plus their os is very smooth and alot of their apps are very good, like the netflix app. I'm looking forward to their os. I love android but w7 looks promising.

however the epic 4g sucked balls out of the box and easily was one of the worst android experiences I ever had. Even with a custom build of android on that, it didn't beat the hd2 even with lagfree! And while I won't quip regarding hd2 v android, the point was even in august before wp7 hit, I was surprised at just how cheap android felt on the device that was par excellence that being the epic 4g I hope it improves but my month for using it was paltry at best...be that as it may even in comparison to the two devices, while the HD2 gave a better android experience as well as options (sense mostly), I am still hesitant to even return to android. Yeah your results vary and I can say maybe it was a bum device I'll give it that and definitely will give it a shot again, but its hard for me just because wp7 has a really smooth experience and everything is fast. I highly recommend if you can test wp7 for 14 days, TEST IT. It's hard to go back from it |

Poor signal lag (far too much lag even after rooting/custom build/switching launchers) typing experience could've been better (well on screen smart keyboard was quite pleasant actually a great saving grace) I mean experience varies I just had a horrible experience. My device could've been a lemon I didn't give it more than a month and that's the sad thing |

Re: Windows Phone 7... Doomed?
i don't want the masses to think i'm downing the epic, i'm just amused by everyone in love with it...and i'm waiting for ex to show up again . wp7 has some flaws, it's definitely not perfect, but i think it's off to a good start. the tmobile person said i've got 20 days, i intend on testing it and hopefully this rumored update coming will address some of the flaws...like no gmail sync (at least it won't for me, saw something at xda that i might try).
