I didn't know how to use the menu key, the whole experience was like wtf.

Then I got a mytouch 3G just to learn Android and after about a week I was rooting, flashing custom recoveries and radios and roms and all that jazz, so I learned pretty fast but yeah, when I had WP7 flashed on my phone I learned the whole OS inside/out in about 10 minutes, lol.
Yeah I will admit on the notification bar...I kept tapping it and it would scroll down a little and go back up..i'm like..wth...I think android should tell you to pull down the bar when you initially start it up :/

I wasn't confused about the task manager though..comming from winmo I knew some roms had task manager hidden somewhere in settings so I wasn't too concerned..

Re: Windows Phone 7... Doomed?

I have tried Winphone at the T Mobile store. It is definitely the best OS out there. But after all the bad news from the MWC this week, I doubt it will be viable by the time my sprint contract is up, and I can purchase one. VZW, nor Motorola seem to have any interest at all, as far as adopting it. They should have release this two years ago. It would have beat hemmoroid hands down.

well the NoDo update is coming in March, and the Mango later this year.

The Sprint Pro7 RUU actually leaked and they are trying to dump it and look at all the NoDo goodies right now, since it does appear to have a more updated firmware on it, so I may be running NoDo on my HD2 sooner than later

I mean its kinda a physiological thing where everyone's UIs have similarity that even while unique can confuse users for the limited amount of time they get to play with it :/
but does everything have to be homogenous? Why I loved htc sense on android is because it didn't look android. WP7 does the same thing by revolutionizing ui for a minimalistic experience. Ain't ya getting tired of the iphone esque swipe to screen? Oh a widget how nice...
