Yes thanks so much! Are you using it with Energy's ROM? No issues right? I'm gonna try out the google sync method but I'm having that issue I stated above. If I can't get it to work, I'll go back to my Sprint Mobile Email...I was pretty content with that even though the push service didn't always work.

Okay, I'm in Task manager and I don't see where to go into services. It's not under menu. How do I get to it?

Well I still recommend you set up gmail push nativley in your phone instead of using the p.o.s. sprint mobile mail. What you describe means you already have an exchange account set up you can get to the settings to edit them by hitting the right soft key the go to "configure server..." then you can input the correct data to set up a gmail account. if that doesnt work i would search how to delete the account so you can start over and enter the correct info.

Yes there is a way to add a phone setting as a quicklink but you have to create a shorcut to it and place the shortcut in start menu folder. I do not know how to make the shortcut off the top of my head however if it is like the rest of the normal windows settings I can give you an idea.
42#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,# ?shellres.dll,-#####
the number signs being numbers that refer to the setting linked and the icon used for the shorcut.

example: if you wanted a link to the memory setting you would type this in a text file and save it as some file name.lnk "Memory.lnk" Then you would copy it into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Tools\

42#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4 ?shellres.dll,-13900

edit: I dont think this will work for g-sensor since i think it is a setting added by a 3rd party not Microsoft. But it does work great for the normal settings. Its great to have a memory link in 6.5.x

You're welcome, but sorry I'm not using it. I used to use it on previous roms, but never on Energy's.

Thanks sooooo much! I finally got it working. There was some confusion with the instructions from google's site. After I deleted the partnership I had with my computer, I was able to bring up that option. The first thing it asked for was my email address and if I wanted to try to get setting automatically. I unchecked that and then I went through the instructions from google's site. When it asked for username, you put your username@gmail.com not username@googlemail.com. Then I checked off whatever I wanted it to check off and now its syncing! Thanks again. I'm sure there's options for how many messages to download and such so I'll be fiddling with it on my own time.

As for the shortcut, I get your instructions but since I'm pretty new to this, I'll be learning more before I try it. Thanks for the info. Super helpful.

Sigh I have another question...not related to the ROM or flashing...I have the phone connected via USB to my work computer but it says its not getting enough power and to either close some programs or switch to AC adapter. Does the TP2 not draw enough charging power via USB? It worked fine for my HTC Touch whenever I charged at work. Would a different USB cable matter? I've seen issues in the past where some USB cables worked better than others. For example, I have a cable at home which would not activesync to my computer with my Touch but it would charge the phone (however slowly it does). Once I switched cables, it would activesync like nobody's business. Granted these two cables weren't the ones that came with the phone but back then I had no idea there were different types of USB cables.

Well My tp2 charges fine when plugged into my (hiome) computer so I would try the new cable and see if it helps. Also I would try the current cable on a non-work computer and see what the outcome is. Besides having a bad cable workplaces can impair work computers alot as well. I cant install active sync or WM drivers on my work computer.

It should work fine plugged directly into any computer... I used to be able to charge my original touch pro from the usb port on my work PC's keyboard... that will NOT work on TP2, which draws to much energy, has to be a direct connection into a PC USB port, not an external USB port...
