I just installed the FB tab via the posted .cab file.. Would be SWEET if it were cooked into the ROM

Remove +1 Dialing Prefix

Bumping this one last time before I go back to MightROM. I really like this ROM but to change 400+ Contacts is a pain or I have spend $90.00 to find and replace all the +1 instances in Outlook.

Below is my issue, I think other have had similar issues.

In the Mighty Rom I was able to goto CDMA services and disable the prefix dialing. However in the Energy Cookie Rom this option is not available. I have tried Global and CDMA only and I do not see the options. Is there a CAB to enable these option or a reg hack to disable prefix dialing.

Thanks in advance for the help. I sure hope I there is a fix.

Ok can someone help me out here what am I missing.
HTC TP2 (SPrint)
Loaded the Energy.RHODCDMA.23547.Sense2.5_with_MaxManila.Mar. 20, Executed the Sprint carrier, MMS patch. MMS is working and everything is great, MaxManila is working. Loaded HDWalls and cannot get it to work. I have looked around and found a patch tried the patch with no affect. Has anyone Gotten HDWalls to work with this ROM?

Patch I found

Also for those that complain about ROMS sucking try researching what it takes to build them. It is NOT trivial, I think all the Devs that cook these ROMS are awesome people that share their Hard work with us NON dev folks, so I wanted to say THANK YOU for your kindness.

I'll do it for $20

**EDIT**

Just kidding. It can be done in about 15 min in 2010. Possible in 2007, but I can't remember how that works anymore it was so lond ago (Yawns arrogantly) LOL. Here we go:
1. Click File
2. Options
3. Advanced
4. Export
5. Export to a file - Next>
6. Microsoft Excel or Access (choose your weapon - I did Excel) - Next>
7. Select Contacts folder - Next>
8. Choose destination - Next>
9. Finish

Open file in Excel. Insert a column after the phone number column (lets call these A and B). Type this formula in cell B2 = if(A2="","",RIGHT(TRIM(A2),8 ) and copy that down to cell B401 (or the end of your contacts). Copy column B from B2 down and paste over column A from A2 down. Then in Outlook:

1. Click File
2. Options
3. Advanced
4. Export
5. Import from another program or file - Next>
6. Microsoft Excel - Next>
7. Replace Dups
8. Select Contacts folder - Next>
9. Finish

Yup.

Hi,

im not an expert at this, but that said..., i do love the hunt for solutions.
so, i searched the registry and found the following "HiddenPlusCodeDialingPage" and the value was set to 1 (meaning hidden).
this was found at HKLM/Software/OEM/PhoneSetting. i changed the value to "0", reset and started the phone. Under the "options" item of the main screen "Menu" choice, a new item shows up on the "CDMA Services" named "Plus Code Dialing." when selected, it allows a you to add a prefix string to the dialing code. (see atached .jpgs.)

there is also a key named "PlusCodeDialing" that has several data values. on my phone, the "PlusCodeEnable" was set to "0", and the PlusCodeNumber was set to only a "+."

i hope this helps, if not, good luck.

marvin

yup, I had no issues with that one. Check out the 23549 build man, just do the little workaround posted earlier and everything should work. I love the extra touches NRG put on this one. My wife loves it. I flashed the TP version to my phone too. Both used the have the one you are running. Try the new one, I dont know where everyone is getting the sluggishness from though... I have both of mine hella fast!!!

PS. WORD TO THE WISE: I flashed to the newest radio (2.32 with the 6.5 release) and used build 23549 (march 20th) and MMS did not work with it... at all. I dont know if this is just my experience but I was not able to make anything work with it correctly... Datawise that is.. SMS was fine, calls were fine, but data network was unsuccessful.

Had to go back to the 1.96? radio and everything worked like it should. Dont know if this will happen to you but... Just sharing my misfortune. I like the old radio for now.

Re: Remove +1 Dialing Prefix

That is great information but one little problem; I have pictures associated with the names. I tried your route already but when I import the file back, the pictures are gone. I know I am being painful. Also when I sync to the exchange server it puts the +1 back so I am back to square one.

Why are there no options to disable prefix dialing; like the other ROM. Is this a feature missing in cookie ROM 23XXX or 6.5?

I finally got results with another rom but something is fishy with a few of the recent builds.
