Thanks, I just realized that after I posted. I ended up installing the Cookie v1.6.1 cab from XDA. I assume it does the same thing (I'll be installing the cookie rom from now on).

yea it does but i prefer to get the ROM with it included because the more programs you install on yo phone the slower it becomes

Yeah, It's a great mod, however I'm not sure how well it's playing with my build of manila. My phone has been kinda unstable since I installed it (maybe it's just mad that I haven't flashed a new ROM in a couple weeks too) but I haven't uninstalled it to verify, I like it too much.

Nice, I just moved out of downtown actually, I was staying right by PSU next to the park thing in some apartments, it's much quieter where I am now though.

Definitely. For battery. The stock ROM's aren't designed with speed as a priority; they put more emphasis on battery life and locking features that would be otherwise available with a cooked ROM.

It wouldn't make any difference what you flashed from when it comes to your battery. There is nothing wrong with the battery... just your settings. If you aren't happy with the battery life, then you need to adjust various setups that have been discussed many times here. There is actually a separate forum just to discuss batery saving tips in reguards to ENRGZ roms here

He's right...the battery tips REALLY DO WORK! I found that the 2/26 Cookie ROM was the best for me, and probably won't change for a while...at least on my TP2, this is more stable than my old stock ROM. Certainly the best NRG ROM I have ever used.... It pays to read that entire thread...lots of good advice...
