Talk about a waste of post and time... so you bitch about a "stupid" activity from people that spend hours a day helping people and trying to solve problems... obviously unlike you since this is your 1st post and contains neither a question or an answer... just complaining...

If you think that anyone actually thinks that reputation means anything for real... I bet that if you posted a cab called itfixeseverything.cab on this or any other thread here (even with your superior lack of reputation), there would still be 20-30 people that would still mindlessly install it on their phones without any hesitation... then of course all the people would start complaining about things like, why does it slow my phone down, or why doesn't my battery last more than 10mins after installing it, and why won't my mms or keyboard work, etc. When people get tired of screwing up their phone they can either do 1 of 3 things... 1)go back to stock 2)deal with it 3)study and learn from the rest of the people that "actually" contribute some common sense and real help to others that really want to have the best rom they can get.

When people get involved in a forum they all work together for the common goal and if you pay attention YOU know who gives good advise and deserves respect people like NRGZ, SANTOD, Fat boy, Boushh, Flyers2114, x10guy, Shaolinsoldier79, CMYLXGO etc.. just to name a few. People like that earn respect from all of us because they help, not because they have a lot of stats... and the rest of us do our part by trying to offer help when we can. So we try to have a little fun when people like you don't get involved and offer nothing but a waste of time and occational "stupid" comment.

So I am done trying to have some fun... Dealing with people so uptite is getting rediculous. Count me out of any more games.

I should have clearafied. Its a touch pro 1 not 2. And I discovered that it has something to do with the contacts dbase - I think - because if I send something from a typed in #, it wirks with no SIM errors. but if I choose a contact in any way from a list or favorites, I get the error "SIM card is missing"

I am planning on trying out Sashimi for the first time after I flash today's ROM. I think I have it set up to create my outlook email account and my hotmail email account. I think I also have it set up to install all of my cabs:

You shouldn't need the opera as default browser cab and personally I would rename these files

(I think that's correct)
The reason for this is Sashimi will install cabs in alphabetical order and you want those to install in a certain order as to not overwrite files from the other installs.
Overall looking good though! Fun flashing.

I don't know of a program better than Sashimi. I know you can do much of it with UC, but it seems to take more work to setup, at least from what I've seen. Sashimi makes it really easy.

I suggest splitting up your CABs into subfolders. Sashimi will process them in directory name order. I have "1 - ROM fixes", "2 - MMS fixes", "3 - Programs" and "4 - Last"

For each new flash, you'll want to review the ROM fixes and MMS fixes, but probably aways want your programs.

You can restore your quicklinks by exporting this registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Home]

As far as home tabs, you can, but I don't think it's a good idea. The home tabs are in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Configurati on]

But the tabs seem to be specific to each version NRG puts out, and it seems to me that reloading these registry settings after a new ROM might mess up the tabs.
