try dcd's alltel carrier as a cab (if you have the time may want to cook without a carrier EXT) and see if it helps anything. his sprint package is excellent, maybe alltel is good too.

http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?...%2Fcarriers%2F
it it helps I can show you how to make the cab into an EXT that works as a carrier package (by default they don't - provxmls do not get translated to EXT correctly)

edit: I'll just say it, it's easy. once you have your cab converted to EXT (I go from cab to oem, oem to ext, it's never failed me) open up the xml files in the files section and any that say WAP-PROVISIONING just rename them to mxipupdate_whatever.provxml that way they get applied at first boot. it seems any provxml with a mxipupdate_ prefix gets applied at boot time, so you do not necessarily need to call them with autorun

that is definatly atleast a year newer then the alltel cab i had on my SD so ill re-cook my current rom with that running in the UC and no alltel EXT see if it fixes my problem. would having data auto-disconnect after a minute matter?

probably auto disconnect would make a difference, but I am not sure. I have accepted that the TP has bad battery life and just keep my data on all the time, push email every ten mins from gmail, as items arrive from exchange, and weather updates every 15 mins. I still make it though the day.

Re: [KITCHEN][ROM]->>Nov 15<<6.5 NK-23506-TF3d 2.1/2.5 & Titanium [UC/Sashimi Complia

A few thing I have learned about the dcdcarrier cabs for Alltel. I am told the 2008 one is better than the newest 20091031 cab. The newest one converts your Ev into Ra, but most ROMs don't supports Ra icons in the taskbar so then it screws stuff up there anyways.

To get your "My location" working try this:

Install the PPST cab and run PPST.exe
Update your PRL
Install the dcd 2008 cab
Look for a cab called "GPS Registry - Alltel"
And most importantly, turn off TF3D and delete the "forecast_cache" file from /Application Data/HTC/databases then turn TF3D back on and try again.

If that doesn't fix it then it may just not work for Alltel phones, which seems to be an issue with some of the ROMs around...

if you happen to find that cab please do post it. i've already updated the PRL... although i feel ill have a VZW TP2 before i ever get this thing fixed.

I have a question. I have a handful of CABs that I have saved to my SD Card that in install after flashing because they don't install properly when I make them OEM-->EXT's and put them in the kitchen. ... Is there a way to make RunCC install these on the first boot so I don't have to manually do it? I've looked around and can't seem to find a definitive answer.

yeah look in the kitchen.cmd script:

Code:
echo LOCK:Enabled > EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo XML: \Windows\perf_tweaks.provxml >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo XML: \Windows\mxip_startmenu.provxml >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo XML: \Windows\sdkcerts.provxml >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo EXEC: \Windows\mxip_beta.mscr >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo TSK: \Windows\Flamerise.tsk >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo EXEC: \windows\remove_starticons.mscr >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo XML: \WINDOWS\SASHIMIAR.xml >> EXT\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
echo LOCK: Disabled >> EXT\Baseline\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
just add
Code:
echo CAB: \windows\yourcab.cab >> EXT\Baseline\Baseline\6_end\zzzzzzzz_Baseline\files\Baseline.txt
before the lock is disabled. make as many of those as you want

I wonder if any alltel customers have sen mylocation work at all on any ROM... I am starting to wonder
