Manila 2.5 VGA ROM is in the works for the Fuze. Will make one for the rest of the VGA devices I cook for if the Fuze one works well enough.

I told myself I wasn't going to flash another EnergyRom until 2.5 came out for VGA. This is the best news I've seen in a while! Thanks for bringing it to the thread's attention. I'm just not sure how I feel about these new builds that have the start menu at the bottom and no task manager thing at the top. I could use raphkbconfig to access task manager tho if I really needed to. How does the bottom start menu work out for those of you running the newest build?

Works great. Honestly, I didnt see what the big deal was until I tested it out. The build is MUCH more finger friendly overall. Showcase has replaced the traditional task manager. The controls (closing programs, opening Showcase, etc) are along the top. Ironically these are not that finger friendly as they are small but I got used to it pretty quickly. The old task manager is still there, accessed via a long press of the Send key. It is just a list of running programs though in this version.
I 'bout fainted when I saw the tweet. I am trying to remain calm as there's still testing to be done....but fingers. toes, and whatever else I can manage are crossed.

I like it, but compatibility with a few older apps sucks, I have ran into a few walls with it...but I like it since I use my thumb to do most of the fingering/dialing/etc etc

Also the font on IE is not that great, you get normal font twice or even 3 times as big as what it should be, some pages look like crap. I think it all has to do with the "finger friendly" scenario...

I got to try out 2.5 a week ago. Its very nice. I can't believe NRG hasn't left us behind. I know I probably would have.


Anyways , can't wait in the coming weeks to see what else he can accomplish.

I am on Energy 21864 and Telus V1.04.05V Radio to see if i can duplicate any GPS problems and test my cab,here:

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm been running the Beta test build since it came out. It runs absolutely great! I did get sick of trying to hit the clock with my fat fingers and decided to take it out of the Windows Startup folder and reload Showcase 1.1.0. It is working perfectly without any lock ups. I do NOT use the stock SMS and MMS software nor do I load up Arcsoft. I use SMS-Chat for texting and sMMS for picture mail. Both have been around for a long time and I love being able to see all of my pics at once using sMMS. sMMS is only for Sprint user though. I just wanted to put this out there if it helps anyone else. I like having Showcase on the bottom bar rather then trying to hit that little clock with my fingers.

I am betting most of the current manila mods will not work on 2.5.
Something new to try I guess.
If it really comes to this device.

I absolutely love the rom and actually used your rom back in June as well. Unfortunately, I had to return to a stock rom because there is something broken with the GPS and Alltel. If I am in my local market, Sarasota, FL - Naples,FL, my GPS will not work. I've tried a Verizon radio and the new Sprint radio, but it still doesn't work. It's almost as if the signal is limited when running the test. I can never get the signal bars past the first line when using ChartCross Gps Test Tool. If I get around the St. Pete - Tampa area, everything works fine. I'm using Alltel Nav because regardless of what ever trick I try, the GPS only works when I have that program up and running. Last night, I flashed back to the Alltel Rom and had a gps lock in less than 5 seconds. I flashed back the energy rom, and same thing, no GPS signal. There has to be a setting somewhere to change this correct? I'd love to keep the rom but I need to have my GPS too. Any suggestions?
