It's actually VERY simple to do.

Make a folder on your pc to keep everything in place. I actually have a small drive partitioned. But a usb mem stick would be perfect.

Make a folder called cabs.

put all your toys in there.

EDIT the names of your cabs so there are NO spaces in the names....

then at the root of the folder, make the SDCONFIG.TXT file.


Here's an example of my sdconfig.txt file. Lines removed of course to make it small for the forum.

LOCK:Enabled
XML: \Storage Card\cabs\Email.xml
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\owner.cab
LOCK: Disable <- remove the spaces in here. The forum converts : D into
HIDE:Enabled
CAB: \Storage Card\Cabs\DinarSoftMemMaid_en.CAB
LOCK:Enabled

RST: Reset


The first line is the .xml that provisions my exhange.

The first set of cabs listed (small set) are cabs that require NO user input.

The second set are ones that DO require input.

keep adding CAB lines as shown there for each of the cabs you want installed.

obviously you copy the .cab files to the cab directory.

once you have it all the way you want, copy it all to the root of your SD card before you flash.

then have fun.

The reason I suggest you have a full copy on your pc is so you can add/remove/modify it all when you upgrade your cab files, email.xml file and the sdconfig.txt file.

As I try new apps, reg changes, etc, if I like and keep, I add it to the package and recopy it to my phone.

Once you do it, you'll NEVER go back to manually installing stuff!!!!!

The settings for that are at the bottom, then you take the file .provxml change it to .xml and that's your file. Ignore the other files that are created.

I have a question,

I have 2 animated gif files. One is for Portrait and 1 is for landscape.. Is there anyway to get them to actually work in Touch flo ? Just wondering.. I use them in S2U2 and they work with that program although for some reason they don't do full screen like they did on my htc apache..

When reporting an issue it's really important to try and report as much information as possible so those of us in this thread, including the Rom creator Mighty Mike, can try to help you and get to the bottom of it.

I have not changed anything from 4.10 to 4.12.. the only difference is the Rom.. that is what my point was.. so there is no reason it should be anything i have installed or use.. but i use the standard MS push mail with a 2007 hosted exchange server..

i have just did a flash of 4.12 and didnt do anything but add my exchange info.. everything else is stock.. i still have problems with a clean install.. in 4.10 i would get my mail on my PC and PPC at the same time.. now it seems to be 5-10 minutes later on my phone.. if i deleted something on my PC i would see it removed from my PPC within 1 minute.. now its taking forever to remove them from my PPC if at all.. i have checked activesync and it is set for "as items arrive".. so something is going on in the background that effected it.. when I flash back to 4.10 everything works just fine.. so its not a delay in sprint or my exchange server..

The catch is, you have to delete a reg section back to default, or modify it. I find it's easier to delete. I will probably open up mine in ceregeditor and copy the section out and try that first. If that doesn't work, I'll try to find the default values for it.

Bingo, thats the place to create an easy one. There is also a SDConfig editor that does it, or you can take the default layout Microsoft provides and add in your own info. Lots of options, depending on how difficult (or easy) and custom you want to make it.


I'm still digging thru my registry to see if I can find the keys of where some of my software registrations are saved and convert that to .cab too.

It'd be sooo nice to just copy Mr. Mike's rom, start the flash and walk back later to a fully funtional phone with all customizations made the way I like, all software re-registered, BT registered, WiFi configured, etc. hehehe.

I'll get there, just take some more digging.

Its funny because we started laughing I got a text from the verizon system with the ticket number and right after I got the message again that the preceiding message was altered LOL.. Before we hung up we talked about the phone and how Verizon locks down everything.. I said well theres ways around that.. He goes yea, I'm running something myself. I said I run Mighty Rom 4.12.. He laughed and paused for a sec.. He goes I might be running Mighty Rom 4.10 myself..

Things I would like to see in this rom:

in call recording - with crazy ex's this is handy its a must for any phone
more games - can never get enough of these especially the g sensor ones.
gsensor on all apps - there is a new app out there. might not be stable enough though?
amazegps - enough said
other tools/utils common such as advanced config etc.

I am sure there is other stuff i'm missing but thats what I can think of for now.
