New to the whole custom kernel thing, my question is, what kernel will work with the omj rom? Preferably one that helps with fps and battery life. Thanks

I'm not sure how long I'll keep the EVO after switching to 3D, I'll for sure update as long as I have it.....we'll see after that.....but as u can see, updates slow down dramatically until something new comes out (like GB)....once the official GB update is out, it's likely the EVO will no longer get any official updates, once once a good base ROM is established, ROM updates will slow....

As I was reading through the countless pages, Tmartin is helping someone named clark44 implement Sense 2.1 in to the ROM. Although it seems like quite a few of the 2.x+ features have been implemented in Sense 1.0 within this leak, it would be nice to see some additional features.

Funny how my whole day of productivity went wasted reading in to all this stuff.

I was swamped all day yesterday, so I didn't ave time to play at all, but yeah, I talked to tmartin, he is trying to port sense 2.1 over, if he succeeds, I'll be using his base.

I was planning on using his current base for my next update, but amikam is almost done w/ optimizing the odex base, so I'm waiting.....I may build a test ROM w/ tmartins base for now, just cuz I'm dying to cook

Omj I have the evo and thunderbolt and the evo has your 4.4 and I'm lovin it now I'm wondering if you could figure something similar out for the tb cause there are so few features in comparison also does stock evo Mic not work with headphones plugged in and its something you added?

Hey Guys,

I know 5.0 is all the rage right now but I finished this about the same day OMJ put 5.0 up so gonna post it for those still on 4.6.

... at least I think it will work on 4.6 so somebody give it a try and let me know. It's actually a rosie for Mik's 4.61 but I think it will work on OMJ 4.6.

Once you get the rosie installed I have made a MetaMorph to make it look stock again without the carbon fiber b/c I know we OMJers tend to like stock looking stuff but with added functionality ... After the MetaMorph I made is installed the middle will look totally stock, the left and right will also look totally stock but without any icons... this way you can assign whatever you want to the right button and everyone doesn't need a diff MetaMorph for whatever app they select.

So: (do a nandroid first!!!)
1. Download jdeloach's rosie
2. Boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache
3. Flash rosie (you will have new carbon fiber one and can see what it looks like in jdeloach's thread I linked)
4. Install the MetaMorph I'm attaching (with the MetaMorph app from the market)
5. Re-boot
You now will have a stock looking rosie that you can assign whatever you want to with the RosieSettings app

If you were still on 4.6 I wouldn't be getting a blahh on this one!

Love the updated froyo..... Looks just like it but much much faster. One big problem. The display is super bright. Good Lord...... it can be a night light for my son.

Hi OMJ,
I have ben using your ROM for a long time now. I am having a very specific problem while I use Sprint Airave 2( Airvana). I get all incoming calls but a funny static noise comes when I dial outgoing calls. I can't hear anything on outgoing calls.
I have heard some other people had this same problem.
Is there any fix to it.
