Re: OMJ's HTC Sense Kitchen v2.1 | WM 6.x / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21895 / 235xx | 4/22/1

It didn't like platformrebuilder.exe

Edit: Whatever I did it works now. Go figure. I started over and used OMJs 235xx Sense 2.1 base and unchecked Sense 2.1 stuff and it works.

I'm using OMJ's kitchen posted on first page and the 23569 sys files he posted. As I posted, the ROM from this setting won't be recognized by PC end ActiveSync through USB port, so if I need to reflash, I'll have to reset the phone into bootloader mode. Also I found some soft buttons are missing, like the back button in the start button menu, and some buttons I remember in phone application.

The 23569 SYS OMJ posted is incomplete.
I had trouble with it until I sorted a fresh roll-up myself.

For your button problem, did you install any custom taskbars? If so, you probably installed on that is not compatible with 23569.

Thanks for the hints. But Mike, could you give me some details? How to sort? I tried to compare the file folders in the 23569 with 23557, and didn't have too much idea what should be changed. I built a 23557 rom based on OMJ kitchen 2.1, and it works fine, I didn't test that build thoroughly on other functions.

Re: OMJ's HTC Sense Kitchen v2.1 | WM 6.x / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21895 / 235xx | 4/22/1

There's a program that will sort roll-ups for you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542081

If your SYS rollup is properly sorted, for example

4090
COMMON
LangDB
MSXIPKernel
MSXIPKernelTKL

You'll want to move the folders from 4090 into the COMMON folder.

Open the PreKitchen Tool and browse for the COMMON folder.
Under Sorting, Tick "Into SYS layout for the Ervius Kitchen"

Then hit Go.

Your COMMON folder contents should now look like this:
dpi_96
dpi_96_resh_240_resv_230
dpi_96_resh_240_resv_400
dpi_192
dpi_192_resh_480_resv_640
dpi_192_resh_480_resv_800
SHARED

Remove the unnecessary DPI resolution folders if needed.
(dpi_96*)

Rename the COMMON folder to what ever sys version you dumped (23659) and drop it into your kitchen's SYS folder.

The remaining folders (LangDB, MSXIPKernel, MSXIPKernelLTK) would belong to
x:\kitchen\ROM\Shared\23659

Don't forget to copy and rename an OEMXipKernel to match this sys version
x:\kitchen\ROM\Diamond\

Hello everyone and thanks for your contributions. I'm new to the forum and will try the ROM for my HTC Touch Diamond. My question is if after the format, the operator can grab Venezuela (MOVILNET) had previously installed.
Excuse my English. Thanks again.

Hold it! Don't do anything. You might brick your phone if you use any tools located in this forum.

Is your phone CDMA or GSM baseband?

If you can't answer that, using custom roms isn't for you.
