Guys, anybody know which program is the driver of the USB active sync on the phone end? I plug in the phone with my cook, and if I select active sync, the Microsoft ActiveSync won't be able to connect with it. Set to disk drive works just fine.

Try going into Settings/USB to PC and uncheck the box "Enable faster data synchronization".

I actually did that. I think when with the faster data, the computer side can't detect anything, with that uncheck, the PC side ActiveSync was trying to connect but couldn't.

Usually when things like that happen, I do a soft reset of the computer, and the same with my phone. If none of that works, I do a hard reset and restore. Other than that, perhaps a bad cable or as a last resort do a re-flash. Sorry you're having issues ...

Hey,

I had a few questions on cooking ROMs. I have a Diamond (and using the 6.5 build), a Touch Pro GSM (Raphael), and a Touch Pro CDMA (Herman). Can I use your kitchen to make all 3 builds, or do I have to get individual kitchens for each model?

Also, any ETA on when you might include Office 2010 final on the 6.5 build? Or pointers on how to integrate that into a kitchen, either or.

Thanks,
-- Starfox

OMJ's sense kitchen is only for CDMA Diamonds. You will need other kitchens for different devices. Best to check XDA Developers for GSM kitchens and roms. Office 2010 is available as an EXT or cab install ... shouldn't be difficult to find.

for CDMA TP you would have to copy the pertinent files/folders from another kitchen that has them. If you download Calkulins last kitchen it has both TP & Diamond, I removed the TP stuff, but can be easily copied back.

As far as GSM, that's a whole other animal, I've tried, but didnt have much luck. You're best off downloading a kitchen from XDA for GSM.

Usually when I cook a 6.5 ROM, I'll copy the Office 2010 from 6.5.5 over to 6.5 SYS

Bad news... my EVO may be delayed. Might have to wait until August.
My rep is working on getting an alternative, but I'm not optimistic.
