ill try the 480x800 thing and let u know if it worked.

edit:
just as i thought... no, doesn't work.
maybe ill change the manila locker version that cookie has to the one from mwalt... maybe that will solve it.
ill report back in a few.

edit2:
actually... i think i just might have to lua edit the file somehow...
ill try to see what i can do.
That's because the manila locker uses the 'fake' landscape that was present in the sense 2.5.1920/1921 builds for the photo/music tabs. In 2.5.20xx with proper landscape support, the onshowfullscreen and onhidefullscreen commands (for fake landscape) are probably just left over from 192x builds and do not work 100% with 201x. HTC has the fake landscape disabled by default in the version we're all using for VGA. To fix the alignment, you need to edit 285d005a_manila under the onshowfullscreen and onhidefullscreen sections changing BackGroundLevel0.Position.y and BackGroundLevel0.Size.height values.

I have corrected this for 6.5.x to work with my bg4all/vgahdwall-like mod. You can get the fix as the last attachment to this post. I haven't created a fix for 6.5 because I haven't flashed a 6.5 build for awhile and I basically just used trial-and-error to find the right values. Let me know if it works for you.

thanks for some great info on that.
i tried on 6.5... doesn't work... ill try to edit it like u said and see what happens... and when i have a little more time ill also check 6.5.x to see if it worked.
thanks again.

edit:
editing the lua file with new values worked like a charm.... thank u soo much again.
only one question... the file is bigger by 20kb from your version of 285d005a_manila after recompiling it... do u know why?

to all u guys using 6.5 rom try this cab to fix the alignment of the background.
thanks to mwalt for pointing out the spot that needed fixing.
also... check out his response cuz he has a link to a thread with cab that will fix it for all u 6.5.x users(i didn't test it yet, but should work).

let me know if u have issues... i tried my best to make sure it aligns good.. but i used dark backgrounds to check... so i might have missed it by a tiny bit.

Glad it worked for you and now I won't need to do it for 6.5 . How did you recompile? If you used cookie's luatool, it includes debug info unless you use a specific parameter to have luatool not add the info. I usually recompile just using m9editor, which does not include debug info and file sizes are the same as the original. Either way, the edited script should work just fine.

if u can provide a picture that would be better.
thanks.
I found I had to sometimes enter decimal place after the BackGroundLevel0.Position.y value (ie 587.5) to get it to align perfectly.

yeah... i noticed that u did that...
i recompiled using cookie lua tool.
i tried 588 the first time because of the whole 640-52... but it wasn't exact...
i think i settled for a higher value though... 588.5 or 589.. i can't really remember.
the pic still moves down a little when locking but goes back to where it should when unlocking... so i think its ok... maybe i should try a background that will show it better so i can get the exact fit.
btw... after looking at what u said, istarted playing around with mode9 also... pretty cool stuff.
changing the locations and color of every and anything u want, text, size and much more.
adding some edits to the actual script also does some wonders... i think ill mess with the calendar days to show up the way i want it finally.(which is what i was wondering about for a long time...).
so thanks for some inspiring me also.
