Are you sure that your corporate IT dept. has not made some recent changes to the Exchange server? I don't know what they could do to cause your "menu" softkey to become inop, but I don't get why this version of Energy would do that for you either. I have configured mine to use my Exchange account with every flash and have never seen the behavior you describe. It just don't add up!

agree on all counts... but... I *AM* the corporate IT guy
It's my own E2K7 server, and I've made no changes to it. I'm happy enough though with everything else the last couple builds have brought that this is a nuisance I'm willing to live with. I suppose it's inevitable that at some point I will have to hard reset and build the device back up with no merging, but that's a daunting task I just don't want to deal with if I can help it, what with mail server certs, app tweaks, installed licenses, etc. I'm hoping the issue just manages to work itself out as automagically as it appeared, by way of subsequent ROM updates and SPB merges (done it dozens of times up to this point using merge level 1, and have had no ill effects). |

Using Dinik 23569 CHT Jul 3 and for a minute I had a similar probleml. I have my ringtones residing on my storage card, and it seemed as though it wasn't reading anything from my SD card but then after a reset it started working again. Not sure if this will help you.

Downloading it now, maybe the link wasn't ready yet. I have noticed that this new deposit files server makes you wait longer after you have downloaded one file. It made me wait a whole hour and a half!

I had that problem with one of the other versions of energy. Forget which one it was, but i am running 21907 sense 2.5 July 3rd and i have no issues with it at all. You can also hit the back button, which us right next to the power button, and that will also make the display light up. That one always made the display come on for me, no matter what. Hope you can figure it out.. P.S. Mine is also a refurnished phone. So I don"t think it is the phone. |

I'm seeing this occasionally with the July 3 21907 CHT build too.
I tried Dinik but couldn't stick with it long because the "shiny" parts of some of the icons made it tough for these old eyes to see things easily. Also too, I wonder if in some measurable way the extra little bits of lit areas of the screen don't add to battery drain? Maybe not much, but I would think some measurable difference? I bet far more so with GTX. |
