I'm seeing this occasionally with the July 3 21907 CHT build too.
I tried Dinik but couldn't stick with it long because the "shiny" parts of some of the icons made it tough for these old eyes to see things easily. Also too, I wonder if in some measurable way the extra little bits of lit areas of the screen don't add to battery drain? Maybe not much, but I would think some measurable difference? I bet far more so with GTX.
