Verizon GPS not working anymore - Page 16

Interesting side note people. I just meet my mom at Barnes and Noble today. She complained about VZ Navigator not working for the past week. She has an LG Voyager though. At the beginning of this shabackle my wife's z10c world edition VZ navigator worked fine for her. That was the Saturday that all over our agps systems stopped working. Im looking over the voyager now but it's not recieving a signal. Don't know if it's related.

I have an xv6900, MR1, Valhalla. I can get plain GPS with Mode = 0. But as soon as I change it to Mode = 2, I don't get anything w/ google maps.

For PDEAddress I am entering, 5C 8B C6 D8, exactly. W/o the spaces I end up w/ 0's. For PDEPort I am entering, 88 89, exactly. Is that right? Also, could the key types have anything to do w/ it?

I have to get agps working again. Otherwise, it's 5 minute cold locks...

I did a couple of these and I had all kinds of problemes unless I re-installed Valhalla just before I made the registry changes. Install Valhalla Cab -> Make Changes -> Soft Reset and it worked each time after that process.

I just tried re-installing Valhalla and it comes back "unsuccessful". I even started from scratch the other day, re-flashing w/ MR1, re-installing Valhalla. Am I entering everything correctly? ie., 5C 8B C6 D8 with the spaces?

I would re-enter
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode=2 <- D_WORD Decimal
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress=5C8BC6D8<-Change to D_WORD Hex before entering the code
HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort=8889<- D_WORD Decimal
Then soft reset -I ussually wait about 20-30 seconds after changing then soft reset and for whatever reason after that I power off pull battery and restart,

OK. I tried entering the Telus information many, many times, only to be frusterated by no aGPS. Much props to WMNoobie. I followed his advice and recreated the registry keys and values with the types he specified and FINALLY, aGPS is working. I'm getting locks from a cold start in less than 30 seconds, indoors.

My situation was as follows: I have an xv6900, MR1 and Valhalla's cab. I was entering everything as suggested many, many times in this thread and the xda thread and it wasn't working. I had to switch back to Mode=0 to get anything (plain GPS -slow!). After recreating the reg keys/values, aGPS started working after a soft reset.

The voyager I mentioned a couple posts up I think was a spoof. I tried to get direction from it for 30 minutes without it being able to lock on to anything. After I went straight for a map view it found the phone fine and got directions without a problem. My mom also failed to mention until after it worked that she just had the phone replaced to because her old voyager died a week ago.

As for live search its working great here.

I'm using phm regedit, but I only see the option to backup with .rbk...

Hmm, maybe an old version? Check here at the bottom of the page says it is possible on that version.

I still can't view .rbk unless I load your registry on my phone

See if you can get a program that allows it, freeware has to exist for this.
