Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

so it looks like if youre Sprint Asurions is out of 6700's if youre Verizon they have more in stock.

Sons-a-*****es well i was told i can just refuse the package and send it back. My 6700s keyboard hasnt worked for near ever now but i want to hold off just a bit longer maybe i can get a newer model. I think ive paid them... $5 now for 2-3 years without using my insurance.

I check in using VZW also. It seems from my experience and other posts in this thread that Assurian has a health supply of phones left for VZW. I think I will wait a while yet.

Did you need to send in your husband's waterlogged 6700? My 6700 with broken screen is sitting in a drawer, but someday I plan to bring it back to life and get my data off of it... and maybe use it just as a wifi scanner. I would be quite happy if I could use the insurance on it to replace with a 6850...

Vilord...because youre with Verizon we get the shaft and it seems they have a decent stock of 6700's left for us. But keep checking their site you can fill out a claim and then on the last step it will tell you what youre getting just dont complete the claim.

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

I'd be happy with a working 6700 at this point... this one had a dead touchscreen (second one in 2 years... never thought a 15lb dog running about could crack a touch screen *twice*) and a nonworking dpad, but it was opened to replace the screen the first time, so I bet they'll tell me it is not insurable if I have to send it back to them... should've sent it back right after the first screen broke. I could report it stolen, but that's fraud, and I'd rather avoid that.

Looking over the policies, I would have to send in the old one... I'll just buy someone's bad-esn 6700 from ebay and swap over the parts, dealing with the insurance is just not worth it with this old phone.
But, maybe when a diamond is available as a replacement for my 6900, that will be when I take advantage

I wonder if we "resume" a claim that we didn't complete after a week, will it re-check available stock so we don't have to keep filling things in?

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

It will probably tell you to call assurion for more information.

I filed a claim a month ago but backed out because I really want a vogue as my replacement back when they were swapping diamonds.

Recently my phone is beyond use now. Before the touchscreen was intermittent. Now its fully dead. I tried to resume my claim and it said to call assurion. They told me because so much time lapsed the previous claim was not in their system.

Anyway they said they would send me a vogue but I see it says 6950 fully kitted ck diamond.

I guess i'm having to upgrade.

Re: Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

Vilord, if you have full coverage insurance on your car and you smash it anyway you just pay the deductible and they will fix it.

Same with the phone... doesnt matter if you took a hammer to it. Although dont say that.
