Do not do this! I tried this, and it wiped out my settings. I can no longer connect to the Internet. I contacted Sprint and they told me to go their online site, and change my wireless web username. I did that, but was told it may take four hours. That was an hour ago and still no change.

Does anyone know of any way to trigger a reset of those settings?

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Since flashing my Touch with the 3.xx radio I have lost my HDR password also!

I have tried another OKTA Touch HDR logon & password without success, so it is definitely tied to the actual ESN of the mobile as the ESN details are what logs the mobile onto the network.

I HAVE NO EVDO NOW!! =(

Whos got a cheap orignal OKTA touch to try this on...again!

To enter into a Telecom NZ touch EPST menu to get the HDR user & pass before upgrading radio > Dial pad > ##778 & green call button > EPST edit > 658824 > view info > security > NOW WRITE ALL HDR ENTRIES DOWN AND KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE!!!!!

On the plus side the GPS works well and really cool using Gmaps etc =)

All the best and PM me if you have an original touch to give-away =)

LOL welcome to the club!

Still the only solution is to get Telecom to refash your device. Can't live without my touch for that long so just living with 1x for the mo.

Whats involved in getting a reflash done by Telecom? Might be worth it - then I can write down the HDR and reflash to get GPS etc.

1) You should probably flash it back to the orginal rom found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=19071 (Thanks to Silk and ImCokeMan)

2) Take it into telecom shop and complain about evdo not working. They will probably try their usual fixes (play dumb and let them do it) When they fail, they will recomend sending it to be re flashed.

3) I think it takes about 7 working days for them to send it off and back. You will more than likely get a loaner for that period so you can still make calls and get your txt etc.

4) If you are under warranty or contract it shouldn't cost you anything.

Cheers

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Has anybody tried to flash the original ROM, it won't go back to the old radio so may not work.

Apparently the HDR password is generated from the AKEY and ESN, it is the first 14 (or perhaps 16) digits of the md5sum of the hex ESN followed by the hex AKEY. The only problem is we can't find the AKEY, it is shown as blank on the EPST screen but is actually stored in the device in an unreadable part of nvram. I have tried lots of things to read the AKEY (qpst, qxdm, cdmaworkshop, supercid.. etc.) but got nowhere. Any ideas?

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Hey,

Another TCNZ user here, I have the exact same problem, a Firmware / Radio upgrade wiped out the HDR AN AUTH Password(Long) on my HTC Titan.

It also wiped out my MDN and NMSI, but I fixed that by calling TCNZ Business.

I'm now awaiting a call back from a "mobile data specialist" this afternoon; who I'm sure wont be able to help me.

I'm loving DCD's Win Mob 6.1 Kitchen ROM, but no data kinda defeats the purpose of the device.

Anyway I’ll let you know the results.

Hey ginnie what version of CDMA Workshop did you try?

After reading this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...50#post1986950 are you sure that we have an Akey?
