Best Vogue Emulators

I was wondering what where the best running emulators for the 6900? Especially for NES, SNES, GBA, and PSX roms.

Re: Best Vogue Emulators

PocketNester, PocketSNES, and PocketGBA are the emulators for NES, SNES, and GBA that I use, and they all work pretty well. I think I remember seeing PSX emulators too but just as a warning there's no way in heck they're going to do much more than chug along at an extremely low framerate unless you're running a very processor-lite game. SNES and GBA games run decently, though, especially for strategy games where having a high frame rate or precise control don't matter all that much, and NES games run like a charm.

With all the games that have been written specifically for Windows Mobile, though, why not try some of them out? Astraware has a lot of fairly cheap games, and there are actually quite a few fun freeware games to be found as well. Check out this post at XDA-developers for a mega pack of free games, most of which run on the Vogue. My personal favorite game for the Vogue is nandhp's Freecell, which you can find here (it actually looks a lot better than the screenshot would make you think).

Good luck!

Re: Best Vogue Emulators

FpseCe V0.10 has been released!!!
I used V0.9.6, a bunch, but the compatibility with my games (*cough* downloaded *cough*) was quite poor. I played a good chunk of Front Mission 3 at around 10-15 fps, which is perfectly playable. It was slow, but it's a turn-based strategy game.
I haven't played with .1, yet, but it's supposed to be quite fast.
It's unfortunate, snes/gba emulators are pretty stagnant. 1/2 speed is pretty standard. I'm sure that if someone would continue development, they could get to full speed. Fpsece is pretty much the only emulator still active.

Re: Best Vogue Emulators

Of course, morphgear isn't free. The ones that have been mentioned thus-far are. Personally, I haven't been impressed with morphgear for gba. I haven't really played with it for much else.
I will say that pocketgba has seen me through the entire game of final fantasy tactics advance. There were a few hiccups that required me to convert the save-game to visualboy advance (I think), play a scene in vba, save, convert to pocketgba, and continue on. It is simply an instance of the game having something that the emulator didn't support.

Re: Best Vogue Emulators

I always liked the idea of Pocket 64, it's a Commodore 64 emulator. However I guess like all emulators not all ROMS work with them. You can find it here with a list of other emulators as well for the PPC, although the list may include some that are no longer developed.
