Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Many thanks for your help with this. I found the TNZ stock ROM here.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=19071

I have flashed this ROM before so I know it works with my phone. Does this help?

that is a dumped version and not shipped version.. so it won't help as it doesn't have the original radio .. you need to shipped version to be able to revert back... that dumped version will not work with the new SPL...

and about the SPC code it works for me even after i flashed to alltel!! and i'm using my sprint in the middle east!!

OK, I found my MSL, to get yours run pocketputty, connect to Serial COM9 with no handshaking and type
AT+HTC_RMSL=0
It should display your MSL.
Why have a secret number that is that easy to get!!!!!
Now, anybody know what settings need to be changed in the EPST menu?

I tried this can't work it out. Any chance of more detailed instructions?

Cheers

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

OK, download pocketputty from here:
http://www.pocketputty.net/
run putty.exe on your phone
change the box that says SSH to Serial
change serial line to COM9:
in the serial tab change flow control to none
click open
type ATV1
It should reply with OK, if not, close and try again perhaps with a different speed, 9600 worked for me though.
type AT+HTC_RMSL=0 in capitals
and it will reply with your MSL.
I had to reset the phone before it would work in the ##778 menu.
Hope this helps.

Ah thanks! That will explain the seemingly random connections.

The "username" looks like the ESN. How many characters in the password? Is it 17 as shown in your example (or is that a random number of X's)?

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

hmm don't know if this going to help... leave the password blank and type your esn@evdo.... and then go to settings > connections> connections and add new modem connection .. compelete the setup and when you get to the username and password type this "mobile@jamamobile" and password "telecom".... of course without the quotes. another thing to check is the MIP settings.. check the MIP_Mode check with a friend that has connection to see what mode he is using..

hope this helps

Thanks again. I just tried this, and I got all excited because I thought it had worked, but it must have been a cached webpage that I went to. I checked the Security Settings and the password has remained blank, and the EVDO connection still fails.
