Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Hi Trevor,

Algorithim for each carrier is different so GetSPC wont work for us on telecom nz.

I upgraded my radio to the Titain one to see if it fixed anything. Which it didn't. So my guess is the problem is on the network side of things. I will contact telecom tomorrow and see if I can get some answers etc.

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to join the club I did the same by upgrading my touch with alltel -> sprint (jd rom) Wm6.1 + GPS.

GPS works, Internet doesnt.

Also the generated MSL does not work. So my touch is worthless as internet device at the moment. I think Telecom won't help us as we did a major modifiction - buggar!

Trevor, could you please let us know if they where able to help you?

Does anybody know if we can go back using a stock rom? I never found one...

Thanks and regards,
Enno

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Hi Papa,

I was wondering if we could read a connection log or radio log to see some error messages. I found nothing....

An extract of the tnz customizing would be a very helpful, thanks in advance.

I never found a stock rom exe for telecom nz. The question is: is it windows or radio or network?

Thanks for your Help.

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

i found a dumped version of TNZ but there isn't much inside.. TNZ didn't put a lot of customization into the rom .. and don't try flashing the dumped version it's not gonna help.. . the problem is with the PRI i believe it changed some of the connection settings ... on mine after flashing i had to re-enter my settings again through ##778 .. and after a soft rest the settings went back to alltel... the only way to make it stick is removing the HTC_CM_Guardian.exe by putting a dummy HTC_CM_Guardian.exe with zero byte file in windows and removed the link from the startup folder... because it will revert the settings back to the original..

here are the files i extracted attached... also i have attached the original connection.xml not sure it will help but give it a try.. and i'm 100% sure if you could get into the programming menu you will be able to solve the problem... i did it on mine and i'm not on sprint nor alltel..

i can't remember where i found another method of getting the MSL.. if i find the site i will post it here..

Re: Help Internet Failure with rev A (was working)

Hi,

I'm in the same boat as the rest of you, internet does work at 1X though so until we can find a way to fix EVDO you need to force it to 1X. With a registry editor change HKLM/Software/OEM/PhoneSetting/HiddenModeOperation to 0, then in settings..phone..services select mode of operation and chenge to 1X only. You need to enter mobile@jamamobile as the ppp username and telecom as the password and these are lost after soft reset but least you can use google maps with the gps now.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

Ah thanks! That will explain the seemingly random connections.

that is a dumped version and not shipped version.. so it won't help as it doesn't have the original radio .. you need to shipped version to be able to revert back... that dumped version will not work with the new SPL...

and about the SPC code it works for me even after i flashed to alltel!! and i'm using my sprint in the middle east!!
