I'm guessing about that because I don't have it installed. It seems that something is constantly polling either the cpu or ?net which is degrading your speed.

Try to isolate what programs are running at what demand on resources they are using. acbPocketSoft's acbTaskman can help you with this. Hope this helps you out.
I use SK Tools, I tried monitoring CPU usage and look for odd background apps and processes and nothing stood up.

No other complaints. This phone is pretty frikkin' awesome!

Opinion

For the most part my Touch works fine. It does do the normal Windows lock up every once and awhile. However you can wait or do a soft reboot. I have the Garmin GPS on it with the bluetooth GPS reciever and it works great. The camera is great also. I like the toch screen also. If Sprint service was better I would have it made.
I am looking for some free .wmv ringers though!

This is the only post in the whole PPC Geek froum that mentions FM Transmitter in the Touch. From what I can tell, it doesn't exist. The only capability that I can imagine would allow you to play thru your car stereo is if the stereo had bluetooth capability. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. And how bout some instructions on how to transmit thru the car stereo if it isn't bluetooth?

Reading comprehension, he said "All of my previous pocket pc's have had it's chance on my car stereo through a fm transmitter ...", that is, A fm transmitter, not THE fm transmitter... He is obviously talking about an outboard FM transmitter, the kind that accepts a 3.5mm input, from iPods, CD & MP3 players, etc. Its just a way of easily interfacing an audio device to the car's stereo system. The other common method is a cassette interface with a 3.5mm input.

Error: unable to create today window: 1400

Hi, I have been getting this error message popping up lately and I am really not sure why. I think it has something to do with SPB Pocket Plus...has anyone else ever heard of or experienced this problem??
Thanks, Jim.

Thumbs down Hard time hearing the ringer!

Has anyone figured out a way to increase the volume above what the manufacture has allowed on the phone? When within the pouch, one can NOT hear the ringer, especially when in a loud area like a store or something. I've turned up the volume slider to as loud as it gets and still it can't be heard from that small speaker on the back, especially when the phone is laid down or placed within the pouch; what gives HTC Manufacture?

I found it plenty loud but have not used the pouch or covered the speaker. Pocket Alarm has a setting for louder volume-though the check box references the Treo(?). I suppose you could give that a try. Or rather make your .mp3 ringer files louder and load them to the device.
