It's something in your start-up group. Either remove know programs one by one or wipe the device and start fresh.

I suggest you backup anything you want to save to your storage card and then do a hard reset. To do a hard reset push and hold the talk(green) and the end(red) buttons and insert the stylus in to the reset hole and then follow the on screen instructions.

Thank you....I am obviously new to this and I have tried to save my contacts onto my storage card....I just cant quite figure it out....is there an easy way to do this?

i didn't read the whole thread...do you have a pc? outlook saves everything so everytime you sync even after a hard reset, evertything goes back on your phone.

I suggest that you use a backup app like sprite backup to backup those things. You can get apps like that with a google search or I believe it is in the Htc Touch FAQ Thread under commonly used programs. Another option is, you could do a search using File Explorer and try to find where your contacts are stored and just copy and paste that folder to your storage card. The same goes for anything else like photos,videos, music and other things you want to save.Good Luck !

I deleted an SMS thread that had two unread messages. Now my phone insists I still have two unread messages. I found a registry hack to change the displayed number to 0, but it goes back to 2 after a soft reset. If I don't do a soft reset, it jumps to 3 as soon as one new message comes in.

Make sure to empty the deleted items.

Okay, I did, but it didn't help, which was what I expected since Inbox has "(2)" next to it and when you delete an entire thread, the messages don't go into Deleted Items.
