In the contacts app, the right side displays letters for quick access to that part of the alphabet, however after about a day of the phone being on, those letter disappear and become a standard scrollbar without any letters. The only way I've been able to get it to come back is by restarting the phone... which is a pretty obnoxious fix.

Also, I'm looking to turn off the start menu transparency. Does anyone know how to do this?
